This is the sequel to 'The Inn of the Companions'. Following your discovery that your cousin has been murdered, you travel to meet his former employers in the City of the Merchants. There you must uncover the conspiracy that threatens to bring down the City. Only in this way can you draw out those who murdered your cousin, and exact your revenge. The City itself is similar in scale to the first module in the official campaign, with other smaller areas around the city to explore. More convincing than the first chapter. Better storyline and more clever dialogues, not oversized areas this time. Wish it was continued. Very good!
Hey Sawark, did you ever finish the "Fighting the Cult" quest? I can't find anyone to talk to me about it, and I'm stuck. I can't find anything in the read me, but the old vault shows other people were having trouble with it too.
Yes I finished the quest. Have you been in the ruined temple in the Ghost Forest? You are assigned with the task by Llarien.
I have not yet been there. He has no more tasks for me except for one that my journal says is complete. (One of the Guild Heads whose issue I solved).
You have to convince all six guild masters to work again for the city - in order to complete Llaren's task. After that speak to him again and you'll get the task I mentioned earlier.
Looking into one of my saves... Here are the names of the Guild Masters in the order I finished my job with them:
Llaren says I still have a quest for Bentin Wettias but my journal has it moved to the completed section. The completed journal entry reads: "You found the real Bentin and his wife locked in the guest quarters. He will go to the Council and explain what happened."
So after much trouble with the guild masters quest, I found that there was one stray hostile servant left in the house which caused the quest to be only partially done, even though my journal counted it as done. I think it's kind of lame that my journal was completed but the quest wasn't. Anyway, the rest of the mod was fine. The mobs were plentiful, and it was an annoyance to respawn and have to run back (My marking rod never seemed to work). I think the mod was okay. Decent story, but more tedious than anything else. Thanks to Sawark for helping me complete it.
Overall very well done, and better than the first part, I would say. In the Inn of the Companions I did not like the hills to traverse around the Inn, seemingly endless! In this one, you are given a number of quests, all very different, and that is more fun. The Fighting the Cult does have the later part that is out of the city, but not sure that this has to be assigned so much as just done on the way to another quest! Nice job and fun.
