This is the re-release of my Final Fantasy 1 CEP with a few added features. Custom content is big in this game so be careful where you put the files that come with it (see read-me). I hope you enjoy it as much as I have making it. |

I actually enjoyed this module a great deal! The only thing I found amiss with it was the difficulty of the monsters which made a solo play very difficult, but I modified a couple of scripts to make it so the monsters don't follow you once you're out of their line of sight and after that it was VERY enjoyable indeed and an exact remake of the classic Final Fantasy I game in every imaginable way. This is best played with an epic level character, since there are LARGE mobs of enemies that spawn from time to time, especially in the dungeons, but the original game did have LOTS of encounters that could pop up at any moment, so this does replicate that feel quite well given the difference in game engines between the top-down world of the old game and the 3D world of Neverwinter Nights. The custom music was a nice touch, and the quests were true enough to the old game that I was able to beat it using a Final Fantasy I walkthrough. The creature designs all made sense, the geography is exact to the Final Fantasy I world map, and all in all the game was fun to play and brought back fond memories of the time I spent playing and beating the original back in the old days. The cameo appearance by Drizzt was a bit jarring at first, but then I thought about how this did take place in Elfland, so it wasn't too strange. Also, he's the only non-FF character that seems to appear in the game, so it's not like you lose immersion in the setting or anything when he shows up. The game had no bugs or glitches that I could find, and I was able to beat it from beginning to end with no troubles. I would strongly recommend this module to anyone looking for the definitive Final Fantasy I remake for Nwn if not the definitive 3D remake of the game on any modern engine. Chaos was hard to slay in this, but I would have expected no less from that monster! Heh heh. All in all, a fun module to play and a very long one too.
It may have been great, but I read a walkthrough, defeated Bikkie, and nothing happened.
A complete stripper (not GP though) that has virtually no decent gear to be found, including shields and even long swords! The areas were not too large, which was good, but had a whole lot of low level respawn which was not. No map pins made this laborious and no directions from anybody in town, including the king, made this a random wandering affair. No items were dropped, even Cure Light Wound potions were rare. I think I will quit as I find myself just going around in circles, with mobs of Imps (goblins really) appearing very frequently! Not fun.
