Description | |
Four people lost in a snow storm. Hungry, weak and yet constantly on the watch, ready to defend themselves against the beasts, the howling wolfs that are lurking in the woods, waiting in the shadows. The wind and rain is whipping the skin of their faces, tormenting their very will to go on. Every step is a reminder of pain and hunger. In a desperate search for shelter, a cave is finally found and hope awakens. But there is something hidden in the darkness, something that shouldn’t be found. Dark powers, stolen magic that is meant to be sealed. This first chapter deals whit the events leading to the finding of “the fang of the serpent”. It is quite short and linear, but intense and heavily scripted. *Note* This is NOT my first attempt as a module builder. To those of you who cant stand cutscenes: beware. Gestalts cutscene system will be used in all chapters. I’ve done my best though to make the scenes “justified” and hopefully exiting. Enjoy. |

I always enjoyed the story in Chojin's modules, this one was more like an adventure game to me. I liked it.
Too bad there is only one part.
Thanks for the review.
A challenge to survive with minimal equipment and questionable allies! Spoiler:
To end this you have to exit the trap door, Problem is that the huntress is so good with her bow that she keeps tagging you as you attempt to use the exit, not allowing this to happen! Frustrating as I was fine when it started, and just used up health potions galore. The exit needs to be easier to use, I think, perhaps not a trap door, as each time you are wounded you lose concentration and cannot work it! Other than that pretty fun to play.
Very atmospheric but short module that has great cutscences and excellent area designs. Story was started to build up just as it ended, but sadly we'll never see Chapter 2. What will happen to our protagonist after his near-death ordeal? Guess we'll never know.
