This unfortunately seems to be a bug.
I have uploaded a new hotfix file ("ADWRHF20201221" / "ADWRHF20201221_NoFood") that - together with the three previous fixes - should take care of the issue with Nathan's dialogue not triggering the conversation with Tony correctly.
Simply extract, no need to re-start and re-download the module.
You probably already fixed this.. but what I did was..
(After meeting Tony in the Sewer - aka he's bugged out next Nathan.. - go to Bet North)
Maybe that will help someone.. I dunno.
Can we please have a text file marked as spoilers for the new content avaliable to download ? So that people who are ok with it and don't want to replay the whole module can go straight to the new things using the debug menu.
- The last door on Mercenary's Way (near exit to harbor) links to no 6 instead of no 16.
- Risky Business quest: When in 2 Mercenary's Way I was able to tell about a way into the restricted area without actually knowing the way. Also I was again told about 2 Mercenary's Way (but we were there already).
- Nighingale quest, part III. The princess was given the dress but it was taken away immediately so the princess was nude. I guess there's some problem with your OnAcquireItem script. Probably you have to modify the dress before giving it to the princess and somehow prevent the OnAcquire script to take it.
- It's very easy to make the dhorn hostile. Especially when near the restricted area. Just walking there seems to be enough. Sometimes this happens unnoticed and you realize something is wrong only when you see all the dead commoners (because the hostile dhorn is also hostile to the commoners).
What an absolutely great way to finish off a truely weird year!
I'm really enjoying the facelift, and the new graphics are very immerisve. Haven't progressed very far yet, really taking time and enjoying the update. I am also very grateful that the author decided to post a "non-food" version of the hak. I tried the eating/drinking/resting but just couldn't get it down correctly.
Thanks again!
Wow, thank you so much for bringing this module back and revamping it! I never moved so fast to share this with all of my friends who were also fans of this module.
I also want to say, thank you for adding a hak to remove the immersiveness of the sleeping, eating, and drinking as that's not for me. It's fun at times but for this module personally it felt more like a chore where I would have the Princess sleep in for an entire 24 hours only to be tired shortly after.
To my question now, is Jero's spawn still the same? I remember he spawned when the Princess made her way to get one of the rings in Knight's Road I believe but I finished that and walked all over the map and I never ran into him. If it is different can you give a hint please? Thanks!
Hello MotherofWyverns, thank you for your feedback! Jero should pop up in the Merchants's Quarter / Knight's Street. That's the small street west of the arena. Depending on where you enter Knight's Street, he should spawn either at the north or south entrance.
I just finished the module, must say it’s amazing.
For those wondering, there are several changes and increments in the plot, besides the aesthetic provided by new haks and enhanced version. As a fan of the original author of ADWR, i was a little worried with changes in the story because I thought it would be very difficult to match his/her writing skills. But you did it! I couldn’t tell what was writen before your update and what you did, awesome.
In my opinion the fatigue system fit perfectly in the mod, I kind felt playing Kingdom Come Deliverance, wich is one of my favorite games ever. Betancuria can’t get any more alive, everywhere you go there’s something happening full detailed, simple things wich led the player to new oportunities of dialogs and new quests.
This game masters all the concepts of a true RPG. Congratulations and thank you very much for you dedication and work.
Some bugs I found (SPOILERS):
.
.
.
RECOVERING TRAP DOESNT GIVE XP, ONLY DISARMING (don’t know if it’s a bug)
DHORN ADMINISTRATION – DHORN SOLDIERS WERE NOT HOSTILE / DIDN’T NEED TO STEALTH
MAYOR’S MANSION – SOLD THE BOOKS FOUND THERE FOR 1.500GP EACH (don’t know if it’s a bug)
ARTO BENTHUR DATE ORGANIZED BY MANDO – CLOAKED FIGURE SPAWNED HOSTILE
MISSING QUINN QUEST – QUINN HOSTILE IN OLD TOWN HALL, COULDN’T SPEAK TO HIM
TONY THE TIGER - SLEEPING AT TONY’S HOUSE DOESN’T RECOVER PRINCESS TIREDNESS
JACIA IN DISGUISE (FORGOT HER NAME) IS IMMORTAL (don’t know if it’s a bug)
THE PRISONER – WHEN LED TO ARENA BY NORAH I COULDN’T LEAVE IT BECAUSE ALL DOORS WHERE PLOT LOCKED
Recovering traps on objects (doors, chests,...) gives XP but recovering traps on the floor does not. This is an old bioware bug because the OnDisarm event does not fire when you recover a floor trap.
UPDATE:
The author has updated her module and fixed the door issue that I mentioned so as a courtesy to her I am removing the link to the one I modified previously.
Please use her updated version instead.
PREVIOUS COMMENT:
You have really beautified this module! Excellent work! The castle and the city look really beautiful! I have only begun to play this...
I don't mean to steal your thunder but I have taken the liberty to fix some nagging issues:*link removed
1. I have fixed all the crazy doorways (the transitions where the rooms seem to go on forever but you can't go there. Next to your improvements these doorways looked even more jarring).everything else such as scripts, conversations, etc are untouched.2. If cep 2.65 is being used, the dockhouse's textures go missing and appear white. Adding 'cep2_core6' to the custom content in the module properties fixed this issue. I realize that you have included some 'cep2' files in 'adwrhak3.zip.' These files will overwrite the standard 'cep2' for people who already have it installed. May I suggest that you include a note that 'adwrhak3.zip'is only for people who don't have 'cep 2.65' installed and include 'cep2_core6' in it. For those of us who already have 'cep 2.65', 'adwrhak3' is not needed.
Thanks for this.
Based on what you are saying, the wondeful author should inlcude CEP v2.65 as a Required Project, which would make installation so much simpler and easy to understand.
I'm having this same issue and I am fairly new to adding custom content into NWN. How do you edit the module properties to fix this? I tried to follow your instructions at the bottom, but am still seeing the wharehouse as white.Nvm - got it fixed :)
Ran into a glitch in lesson 4, for some reason Joanna's son never spawned for me. Maybe it's because I explored the inn before getting this quest?
Also, when I speak with Caron I have the option to tell him how this lesson went, despite being unable to proceed. Is there a console command which I can force Joanna's son to appear and trigger the rest of the quest?
Much obliged
Holy mother of God... I have no words to express my gratitude and my admiration for this new edition. It's simply amazing. You have turned one of the best modules around (and my own personal favorite one) into a true masterpiece. Thank you soooooo much, "V" (;-) for your hard work ! The new city is stunning, and I love all the improvements you made.
*** Minor spoiler ***
I think I've found a bug, and a pretty annoying one... Whenever I get caught by a Dhorn patrol at a checkpoint (for having stolen goods), I'm sent to the jail. When I'm released, I found myself naked in the street (that's OK) and one of the Dhorn guards always turns hostile, kills me and starts to run in the streets like a mad man slaughtering everyone (except his Dhorn fellows, I guess). The other guards stay neutral.
For now, the only way I found to avoid this bug is to have no stolen goods on me, or to sneak past the guards.
*** End of spoiler ***
Thank you again, with my eternal admiration
PS : sorry for my clumsy english, I'm french. Nobody's perfect ;-)

2acornupper -
I can provide some more info. The culprit is the wall to the left of the gate where the character gets dropped off. The wall looks solid, but NPCs and PCs can walk through it.
That makes it so that when the character walks near or gets spawned in front of the gate after capture, the nearest Dhorn Guard behind the wall gets aggro'ed and walks through the wall.
Once he gets out of the wall, the spike & lamp & a nonhostile Dhorn Guard physically blocks his path. However, if the character is naked and causes the nonhostile Dhorn Guard to move, the hostile one escapes into the city going on a rampage throughout the Merchant's Quarter.
Replacing the fake wall with a solid wall should fix the issue, or moving the hostile Dhorn Guard further away should address the issue.
Location - Betancuria, Merchants' Quarter (BatancuriaWest)
Creature - Dhorn Guard (64/64) - the one that has Prison Key in its inventory.
Malkhut and anyone having this same issue, you can kill the guard using DebugMode if you'd like. Instructions:
Many thanks, Mage4
I see this maintain the more constitution=big tits thing of the original modules.
In the original the max value for the dialogs was 14. In your remake boobs keep growing until 18. But is this just aestetic? There is any dialog or situation that address a chest size over 14? Do i get anything for sacrificing her stats to get the biggest boobs, even just for dialogs?
I could be wrong, but the rare cases that takes your bust size into account.. 14 is the cut off.
After doing some test and looking at some script with aurora i can confirm there is dialog variations for the biggest tits as well. Sadly i suppose that this would just be good for a "challenge run", maxing out constitution and the restriction for 14 charisma give serious limitations in a game made to get the most skills as you can (i seriously can't think of a build with an INT inferior to 12), and that force you to use all the skill points you can on key rogue skills (i remember from the original locks that even with 16 dex and bonus dex from object or potions still required a lockpick 12 tool to be opened, and this was near the end of the game when leveled up at the limits consented by this game), as well as "social" skills: the people of Betancuria are hella obstinate and hard to deal with and many rolls don't even take into account the charisma bonus and are purely based on your skill points. Valine was an absolute savage from this point of view, giving the players insta regrets everytime they would even think to not use a skill point for lockpicking and disarm trap as well as the skills necessary to detect said traps. I would have really enjoyed a less "hardcore rogue" version of this module that goes easier on traps and locks in order to give more class/build options but from what i've seen until now look like this remake is exactly as savage as the original.
Well.. i've played and replayed the original enough times to be up to the big tits challenge.
I'm pretty sure the original version had a handful of dialogues where you'd get different comments for CON >16 and >18. Most dialogues only distinguished between 10, 12, and 14, but there were a few exceptions.
2 things
Jacia has disappeared. She is not in the hideout.
Arto shows up to the date hostile.
I don't know about Arto, but Jacia look like she is in the hideout only in during the day in this remake.
It happened to me once that all the dhorns in a part of the town turned hostile without reason when i entered the area. Simply reloading the game patched it. Maybe Arto suffer of something similar. Try to take this quest in another moment. And if nothing work... well this quest is optional if you fail is not game over.
Is there a work around for Arto being hostile? I ran away and he keeps following all across the city. I ported to the burning buidling, and the date was not triggered.
Do I just blow off this quest?
Only the cloaked Arto is hostile. So make sure that he cannot see you (sit there invisible) and the quest should go on as expected.
This happens if you make some of the Dhorn hostile - most of them seem to share the same faction. I had the same problem, so for anyone looking for a solution here (since you likely solved this by now), I would like to share a console command. I have calmed him down using the tools of the Gods: dm_setfaction defender; it's in Target Mode, so you will have to click on him to activate it.
How do I get Tony the Tiger quest? My princess has been to the sewers, met him there, now he is in Bear's Pit, no dialogue initiated, and he doesn't meet her at the entrance like in the original. Did I miss something? Is it a bug? If so, what's the console command?
You must download one of the two hotfixes, one with "food and resting"-system and one without, you chose! The module author included some quest-fixes!
Done that.
Look in the Bear Pit's basement.
For what? I know there is an access to the sewers there, used it many times.
In this version, I met Tony in the basement, that's why. I don't know if the encounter with Tony should be triggered both outside the Bear Pit, near the main entrance, and/or in the basement, but if Tony doesn't show up at all, there must be something broken in the script. But I'm not good enough with the console to help you, sorry.
I met him in the sewers, then he stands near Master Nathan, and nothing happens.
I posted a set of console commands to fix this on page one of the comments section.
Hope it helps.
Hello there! Huge thanks for your amazing work on updating this mod, it truly is impressive and very beautiful tileset-wise.
I do have a question about something, not sure if it's a bug or not.
MILD SPOILERS
For the chalice quest, I got stuck at the first glowing door so I looked at the old walkthrough on the ADWR wiki (which I assume doesn't apply to a lot of quest aspects anymore). It mentions several keys that can be found on the bodies of the undead as well as the cocoon in the basement, but I've found zero keys. Currently stuck at the glowing red door, console teleporting through seems to seperate me from the party members. Am I missing a secret door or something perhaps? Scoured everywhere with high spot/detect mode and I couldn't find anything.
Thank you!
Search the area for two secret doors.
Another problem,
the desk in the academy which has Dan's transcript is placed such that I cannot open it.
An work-around? I even tried spawning it and it did not work.
I think it depends on the angle you come at the table, I clicked it a few times and nothing happened, left the room and came back and was able to open it.
The desk definitely has a inventory.. Maaaaybe you could try destroying the table? I would save first though.
Where is the escape route from mayor's mansion? Can't find it.
On the ground floor, tjere are some stairs down into the sewers. It is hard to see. I missed it many times also,
Thanks! It is really well hidden. For those who come across the same problem - it is in the west of the ground floor, in a kitchen-like room with two dogs.
In the kitchen with the dogs, there's a set of stares that leads into a cellar anda sewer grate there.
You can leave the house without the idol though so be careful.
Spoilers:
I am in Raveenstower. Where are my weapons?
When you leave your cell it's in one of the first rooms you pass by in a chest, I think it's off a room with a huge cage.
Could I get a couple hints on Castle Crossing? I saw how to leave, but that seems unsatisfying.
1) Find the basement, look who's there but don't be late.
2) The dhorn emissary is important (so don't make him angry).
What do you mean by late? I honestly can't find anything. (By basement you mean secret passage from Claire's room to Terek's tower, right?)
Spoiler:
Who might know Dhorn secrets?
I haven't a clue.
Someone please point me in the right direction.
Spoiler:
The Bear Pit has fallen. Alfonse says to check in with him 2x per day. I have done that for several days.
The journal suggests I find someone who would know Dhorn secrets. I cannot think of anyone. I am getting annoyed. That clue is worthless. I ahev been alll over the city and cannot find anyone.
