The Curse of Dasmo 2 ==================== This is part two of a series. You should play this with a level 2-3 character. Talk to people, they usually have something to say. This uses the same rules as Neverwinter Nights but the experience award has been boosted up a tad. If you have your character saved from the previous module I highy reccomend using that one. |

The Curse of Dasmo 5 ==================== This is part five of a series. You should play this with a level 9 character. Talk to people, they usually have something to say. This uses the same rules as Neverwinter Nights but the experience award has been boosted up a tad. If you have your character saved from the previous module I highy reccomend using that one. If you run into any trouble like not being able to kill a monster, just run away from it. Be prepared... the next module is looking very nice. |

This is the final module in the series. You should play this with a level 14-20 character. It is highly recommended that you play this module in a group or else it can become very frustrating. This uses the same rules as Neverwinter Nights but the experience award has been boosted up a tad. If you have your character saved from the previous module I highy reccomend using that one. You should definitly play the other five modules in the series before you play this one or else you might not fully understand the plot. VAULT NOTE - A fixed copy of this module allowing for full completion of it can be found here. |

Baseless, storyless, meaningless... but entertaining, if one is up to it.
The dialog constantly breaks the fourth wall. I can't get into this at all.
A lot of work, I am sure. The final scene is a bit much, as there is no way to damage the bad guy! A lot of character saves, that is for sure!
Just played first chapter which ended very soon. Found it very linear, basically hack 'n slash with free respawn. Plenties of healing potions (and beer) around which are almost pointless since there is no death penalty.
Hoped dialogues might have saved the day but those were as linear as the story and the module so far, despite the author's recommending to talk to everyone around.
People kept on talking about scripts and the author himself; seemed to me just like the actors which talk directly to the camera in some movies. That should be fiction, something to entertain, I wouldn' t remind the player that it is not a real world you are trying to sink into. "It breaks the forth wall" continuosly as NWNJade states.
This mod tries to be a parody/humorous one but it just succeeds to be HnS.
The most creative part in the design was maybe the use of flames.
I would vote out a vote of 5 for the effort but didn't play the whole series yet.
Voting right now.
Played 2nd part too: not so many characters to talk with this time. Same flamework thing. Repetitive encounters in a honeycomb-like tunnel structure. So many downloads for really short modules that maybe could have been put together into a single one.
When I thought the breaking the 4th was over then it came again with Johnes "Ha ha ha" making self promotion advertising or talking 'bout C programming. I am afraid the intended vote of 5 was a little bit too much.
The module could be skipped but I guess it is still better than an anonimous leveler. Got 3 levels in the 1st chapter and another one in the 2nd. Made some money by selling away potions that still are not really useful.
