Originally published for Dragon Age: Origins in 2011, this short story has been imported with minimal necessary changes to make it work for NWN:EE.
It takes place between Enigma Island and Dark Energy, but requires no prior knowledge of those campaigns.
SYNOPSIS
For two generations, the villagers of Locksley have enjoyed peace and freedom.
The Age of Magic has passed. High elves and demons have vanished from the face of the earth.
Even the endless dynastic wars between feudal overlords beyond the safety of the mountainous Protectorate of Sudish are no more than tall tales told by travellers.
The once-legendary Rangers who guarded the borders and forests are now merely a handful of hopeless eccentrics.
As folk turn away from the Ward Moot, the voice of the secretive Albion League grows louder...
Avarice eyes this from afar, while in the darkness beyond the Mountains of Mourning, something nameless stirs...
As a human or foundling villager, your life is about to change forever, as you are plunged into a world of horror, intrigue and romance, in which the only hope lies in the mystical union of a lost sword and the elusive Crown of Creation.

BETA TEST
The purpose of the beta test is to report and fix bugs.
Since the module is a copy of the Dragon Age original, I don't plan to make improvements, though of course suggestions are welcome. It's a conservation / vanity project.
It has already been through multiple cycles of end-to-end testing, but no doubt there will be errors, which I will help testers to overcome.
MIGRATION FROM DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS
The module looks different from the Dragon Age version because official Dragon Age content and materials have been replaced with similar Neverwinter Nights assets, for legal and practical reasons.
Sadly, it was too difficult technically to import Beerfish's excellent cutscenes, so what you have here is my palimpsest / travesty.
Plots, conversations and scripts were imported from the DA:O source XML using Excel and moneo. A layer of NWN scripts was then added to emulate the DA:O core scripts and function calls.
No 1.69-version?
@Mmat - No 1.69 version, sorry. The semi-automated conversation to NWN was only feasible using EE features, such as conversation parameters, which mirror those in DA:O.
Thanks for posting this, Proleric. I've enjoyed your other modules and I'm enjoying playing this one now! A few little non-critical issues I've seen so far:
Thanks for the feedback.
The uniform should equip automatically (rather than appear in your inventory). EDIT - I see there is indeed a bug with this in some circumstances. Fortunately, it has no effect on gameplay, as armour is widely available.
EDIT - the other two bugs are harmless, but have been fixed for the next release.
Doesn't load on iPad FYI- shame as I just finished enigma island trilogy which did.
Is iPad at EE 1.81.8193.16 or later yet? I know Android isn't, so this module won't work on Android until Beamdog update EE on that platform. Enigma Island and Dark Energy are 1.69, so you don't even need EE to play them.
