Description | |
Travelers from all over the realm have made the journey to Port Maddog to attend The Midsummer Carnival Of Wonders. But for the guild called The Shadowdwellers, it is not a time of celebration. Prince Garrick, the rightful heir to the throne, has been kidnapped. Deep beneath the streets of the fog-shrouded city, a meeting has been arranged. A man named Scathe claims to have information vital to Prince Garrick's rescue and safe return. He'll give it to you... for a price. |

Much better than the first one. Bad there is no sequel.
bugs:
- one blank journal entry(missing heir quest) at the end
- no XP for traps, locked doors(there were few only) etc.
- doors need keys - so why a rogue, when you cant pick locks?
- when I step on conversation trigger it always says everything twice in a row
- almost nothing to pickpocket(only random "drops" from like 3 NPCs in the entire town)
As Werelynx said, significant improvement from the first installment. Midsummer Carnival and Party felt truly alive.
Apart from what he pointed out, Daze effect from touching bubbling beaker lasted extremely long and conversation in party between Albert and Katria have the wrong speakers at times. There really should be more rogue stuff to do, in fact a pure Rogue would have done really poorly due to some tough fights. Thankfully I was a multiclass Cleric/Rogue.
That DAMN MUSIC! I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD!
I can't think of anything that could be improved upon with these modules. I played a fighter-rogue and had a fine time of it. Not a lot of gear and no lasting henchman but I liked the story and the way everything worked right! Try this out for a fine time. Thank you Wynne!
