This project is a direct successor to Castle Defense by Kratok, running on the NWN-Player's Castle Defense server since 2019, see link below. Jimbobslimbob made the majority of the changes between the two, I have been given permission to release this to the public to see what people can make of it. The original author mentions the module not restarting, this should be fixed. The primary changes are to play balance. Combat is much harder and optimized PCs are recommended. Difficulty can be changed in the game by initiating a vote using chat commands as long as you are added as a DM in teh scripts, read the Journal. You can also change the difficulty by changing the default value.
- You must name the module "CastleDefense2.mod", or change the restart script if you change the module filename because there is a bug requiring the actual filename to be used to restart the module.
- ELC must be enabled to block cheaters, unless you like th idea of 1000 hp players... That's up to you.

You will need to use the various items from the stores. Potions and choking powder, healing kits, barricades to slow the enemy, and Engineering Tools for repairing the gate (Craft Traps is the only skill used for Engineering).

"Castle Defense is a module intended for multiplayer team-play, where the players have to defend the king in various maps against endlessly spawning hordes of enemies until the round is over. I used to have it run as a Persistant World, but have stopped hosting it due to not being able to focus on it anymore. Due to a few requests I have now uploaded it here as well.
Players gain levels and their items automatically upgrade as the round continues, but both the XP and items are reseted at the beginning of each round, with the exception of a small amount of "permanent XP" that is gained by leveling and winning rounds. The power of the attacking monsters will automatically scale depending on the number of players and their levels. There's quite a bit more to it as well, a bit too much for me to detail right now anyway. :)
Feel free to host, use or edit it as you like. It has been designed as a Persistant World and works best as such, but if you just want to try it out once or twice with friends or even solo, I don't see why not."
