Description | |
(1.08 – SoU & HoU) This module is the first module concerning Shaddowe (PC included in the zip) a first level rogue. It includes some 97 locations to explore and 36 possible quests, though the completion of some quests will interfere with some quests or cause others to be inaccessible. The module comes with a detailed walkthrough, though I recommend you only use it as a last resort, or following completion of the module to see if you missed anything. Important Note: this module is a rogue class module. Bonuses are awarded for the use of stealth rather than resorting to kills. I do not expect players to be able to get perfect stealth bonuses in all areas, there would be no challenge in that, but there are none lethal ways of escaping combat. It is not a hack and slash module (though there are occasional combat orientated areas), and the pace is meant to be slow. If you do not like this type of module, you have been warned |

Great mod, the summary above (review by sewym) says nearly anything important. (What to hell is ILR?)
There is no scripting, which enforces the use of premade character, just a little key, which needs to be passed to the selfmade Shaddowe
ILR = Item Level Restriction
So far a fun romp, with little killing. NPC scripting seems very good for the most part.
Spoilers:
I am stuck in the Gem Quest trying to make heads or tails of the six pedestals and letter stones! Wow! No real name can be spelled out or english word, and I tried just putting each of the stones on the first pedestal to see if it lit up or something, but no. Combination of the six letter are so many that I am not sure the author realized how tough this puzzle is? Any hints folks? Appreciate any feedback. Rughat? Agthur? Thaurg?
Sorry for the post. Just got the answer from the Walkthrough. Not used to those things being available, as it is so rare.
Just got done and this is truly a masterpiece! So many quests that are finishable and so many different ways to go. One thing that I was disappointed in, after reading the Walkthrough, was that if you choose a certain direction to follow, many quests will not materialize for you! So you sort of have to figure out which ones you want to do before you get too far in.Other than that this was very fine work. Thank you!
