News Update 2020-11-02 For anyone still interested in this series... The bad news is: After trying to update these modules to the latest patches and or at least trying to improve them I came to the conclusion that I will just fix any major bugs being reported. The good news is: I am recreating the entire series in the diamond edition found on GOG and will port it to the EE version once completed and fully tested. At first I really wanted to improve these old modules and just fix and or add new stuff to them. But they were made ages ago and they were so heavily scripted that updating them caused too many bugs to the point that the updated versions were practically unplayable. So lately I have dedicated more time to NWN and I started a new and fresh version of the same story but at the same time a re-imagining of it. The new version includes all three chapters which are packed into just one module. So you'll get chapter 1, chapter 2 and the never released chapter 3 all in one. This version won’t rely on CEP or any other hack pack other than the custom portraits I created myself, so for the most part it will be created with default assets. I’m just starting on the new version, so it may take a while before I release it. But with the current world situation, I have a bit more time to dedicate to this project and progress has been good. I have a good deal of stuff done already. The new version will be released as its own apart from these older versions to avoid confusion so you know. I will keep you posted as I progress further. Meanwhile, good NWN gaming and please be safe! ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ (ZW Presents) Blackwall Keep (Champions of Heironeous) Expansion 1 UPDATE: 1.3 Grammar has been revised. (Thanks to Thirdpres :) I’ve added new side-quests and areas. The enemy lair has been revamped. Gone are the random portals. No more confusion in the Mistmarsh, ALL MAPS ENABLED! |

Can we run this module with CEP 2.6 instead of CEP v1.X?
Sadly no. CEP 2.6 works for all CEP 2 modules, CEP 1.X works for all CEP 1 modules, but you need both. The CEP team decided years ago that CEP 2 would not be compatible with CEP 1, not sure why.
Edit: disregard. In spite of my obviously low INT I managed to figure it out. The rest system is pretty cool.
how to "make a camp" with firewood? are there desginated zones where this can be done? I cant figure it out. Oherwise, an outstanding module so far. Lovin it!

I remember this one vividly from the old vault. Excellent custom boss by a professional artist. 10/10.
This is a really fun module! I had a really tough time on my first playthrough with my ranger because I didn't find any of the helpful items for the last fight(I didn't actually beat the GQ!). I will say I enjoyed the module a lot more playing a character with points in her persuade skill because you get a lot more information about the world and about the relationships between characters. The areas are beautiful, all the encounters are more than doable if you pay attention, there are a couple cool hidden things and awesome unique items.
There are a few grammatical errors, the most noticeable was the use of "Tell me!" in a few places, which I think was supposed to be "Tell me about it." I was a little uncomfortable with how sexualized Laura and Ridusha were since it didn't seem to fit their character or profession, but in the case of the Goblins I think it made sense. Otherwise, a great adventure and highly worth a playthrough.
Really liked the gritty atmosphere in this one. You get to play a common soldier for once, not a conquering hero, appropriate for the low level gameplay. Reminded me of Castle Black in the first ASOIAF novels. I completely agree that the oversexualised fantasy babe style art didn't really fit in with that theme, though. Would have appreciated a few more side quests / conversation changes within the keep as well as the story progressed.
Interesting campaign, full of custom content but sadly incomplete.
Great.
Not bad
A solid eight. Much better than the second installment, though I find the romance for the female PC pretty dull and rather forced.
I found this to be excruciatingly slow and dull. And the item strip was not cool! I gave up while still moving around the keep. Sorry!
The problem of item stripping mods is not a pain for the gear or money but for the fact that they strip your (subrace) hide too.
Anyway, I liked very much the design of this one, I'll be back soon to this one.
Just for anyone who downloads, Right click the CEP 1.X hotlink -> Copy Link and Change the .net to .org, .net just takes you to spam sites, that ether tells you the site is not up, Or tells you to download (virus) updates to (not) outdated software, Idk if the .net was the old address, but The new one is .org ^^
@TheArachne thanks for spotting that nasty glitch.
I fixed the link to point to the correct site, and the latest version of CEP1.
Tried this again with a bit more experience under my belt and appreciated it more! Although a stirpper you do obtain in various ways better equipment as you go and it is enough for the challenges presented. The areas were very different looking. I am not a fan of the Hak that doesn't allow the tree cover to disappear, as to me it is very distracting and allows for all sorts of unintended encounters! Still, all seemed to work and the story was interesting as well. Even a bit of romance! Try this for a fine low level adventure.
