This is one of my all time favourite moduals, though i've never completed it, which i intend to change. Thanks!!
I really enjoyed this, but it was really difficult. That, plus the cheesy evil stereotypical behaviour of evil, nearly diminished my enjoyment of these series of modules.
Great series, and better than any of the official campaigns, save Pirates of the Sword Coast imho.
Horrible and incredibly dull module. Seriously it's a waste of time and i can't recommend anything else than staying away. Hunt through the Dark is much, much better module for Evil characters.
Counts for the whole series
Stereotypic roleplaying (as expected, without any choice) and heavy hacking and slashing. The final battles ("your revenge") are imo too tedious.
Over all above average.
Well, it says:"rather insane and hungry for revenge", so it's a pretty determined role to play and you know what you get, especially if you read the manual. Some fights are incredibly hard, even for a pure fighter->blackguard.But if you like a challenge and don't mind beeing stereotypically evil it's a great romp with a story.I really like it!
I liked the conspiracy driven story, seeking revenge aided by other power hungry villains.
I liked it since it could be played as chaotic evil and I would say even as chaotic stupid.
Great module for blackguard characters. Although it would have been nice if there was assassin and pale master henchman.
not bad but narrowly focused as CE and somewhat stupid

hello, i just installed the enhanced edition but i cannot even enter Yartar, the loading screen keeps getting stuck at like 75%, does it mean the mod needs updating? or is it a bug on my end (haven't encountered any similar problem with other modules so far)
Are you using CPP or Beamdog Enhanced Workshop Items? If so, uninstall one at a time and then try again.
Hope this helps.
The module loads for me in the latest EE retail version 8186.
However, I notice that how the game opens depends on your character alignment etc - maybe try a different character?
hello thanks for answering guys, well the module loads for me too, but i cant enter yartar, i tried different characters but no luck. I also tried the code dm_movetoarea yartar, i can travel to all the areas of the module except yartar (yartar city core), when i use the cheat to go there the game does nothing, if i try to walk there throught the transition area it never finishes loading the area. So you guys can enter Yartar? it is only me?. Also i dont have any CEP,CPP or beamdog enhanced items installed yet. I also tried entering yartar from other directions but same problem...
The area loads Yartar city core correctly if I change the start point to 215 110 in the toolset, so you could try jumping there.
I can't test the transition from Near Yartar because clicking on it just says I'm supposed to be meeting someone.
Evidently, there are a lot of scripts that affect area loading, so it's hard to say more.
thanks for the help but nothing is working, i tried that but it doesn't jump, i jumped to belabar's inn and if get out into yartar city core crashes again, something is in that area that cannot load, anyway i will move on onto another module. Thanks for the answers, they were surpsingly fast, i guess the Enhanced edition has revitalized the game
Trying to finish off chapter 1. Constant crashing when trying to enter hidden trapdoor in the crypt to get to the Altar.
Tried it with and without henchmen still crashing. Using EE.
Anybody got any ideas?
No CPP installed
SOLVED: NWNCQ was the culprit
