Description | |
Dungeon crawl with a plot. Starts out pretty cliche - find youself locked in a castle full of things trying to kill you. But it gets more involved from there. No NPC conversations, because no one is still around to talk to. Story is told through mysterious books that know all about you. This is the final version, see comments below for details regarding updates. I hope you like it, please tell me what you think. Even if its a 'worst mod in the history of the world and I hope you die a horrible death for making it' reply -those are funny. |

Some interesting layouts, but not much of a story.
Pretty good adventure, with some unique features like books that narrate the tale as you go. Lots of loot also, which I like! I liked this one for a shortie!
Short straighforward low-epic level dungeon-crawl.
Quest delivered by in game books and enemy descriptive text. Together with strongly thematic and inventive encounter design generates a good atmosphere with more interest than the standard NPC instruction-Dungeon crawl - NPC thanks setup through solid writing and commitment to concept.
Loot and XP not inappropriate (was slightly over-levelled albeit with utility build). Combat encounters could have been tougher but some challenges presented.
Is short and did not at all overstay its welcome, but being a little shorter still may have been even better to maximise the impact of fun enemy concepts.
Started W20/R2 finished W20/R3.
