Description | |
It has been two years since the Battle of Fort Highmarch, and in that time fears about the King's newfound power have slowly come to fruition. Aielund is at constant war with it's neighbors, but with all sides weary and spent, the war is at a stalemate with no end to the suffering in sight. And with King Seamus slowly losing his grip on reality, something must be done. This new version requires the Aielund hakpack v3.01 to work properly. |

Best mod ever written - rating reflects entire series
Finally finished the entire saga after weeks of playing. One of the best mod I ever played!
Fantastic, onward to Part2!
An epic series! Truly recommended to every NWN player!
(rating is for the entire Aielund series)
This is an outstanding epic series that will leave you wanting more when complete. The module author clearly put tons of hard work and effort into building one of the 3 best series on the vault. This series is one of the reasons Neverwinter Nights still exists 15 years later.
The story, the battles, the music, the visuals all are top notch. I solo'd a Human Wizard from 1st to 34th level. I highly recommend this module to everyone.
Voting 10!
I have already written my thoughts on the outstanding series as a whole. Unlike the previous modules, each of which can stand alone, Act IV, Pt. 1, does end mid-adventure, to be wrapped up in Act IV, Pt. 2. (Act IV, Pt. 3 could stand alone.)
I don't mind the item-strip that opens play in this module. It provides an interesting challenge for your high-level characters to survive without high-level gear (and, depending on your character, without an ideal choice of henchmen). The module could have been stingier with the gear you find on your way back to civilization; but the module is fairly generous and does not leave you naked and afraid for long.
After that, the mandatory side-quests in Myrfell feel a little bit like busywork. If they were optional side-quests, I would have done them and enjoyed them and thought nothing of it; but the main storyline just halts and waits for the side-quest completion before the main storyline resumes.
Overall, it's still another good module within a great series.
Great Saga, MysteryX said it all.
The Aielund Saga is one of my favourite RPG of all time! The module excels in every aspect, especially in terms of the story telling and companion character development. I loved the whole saga but the Part 1 of Act 4 was so memorable, I really enjoyed every minute of it. You can find my review here. Highly recommended to every RPG fans :)
Best Module Series ever, I am forever fascinated with the NWN family almost 20 years and growing.
An update? Was anything changed/added?
No, not by the author.
Since they recently rejoined the community, all original content made by Savant was migrated to their account. Sorry for any confusion.
FP!
What an epic journey. This astoundishing campaign is way better than many offiicial games created by professional companies/writers and it's good to such an extent that it totally annihilates the OC.
Hello,
I've recently started to play those modules and I love them immensly. But I've got a little problem with Act 4 - part 1 : I can't load the module, the game says that I miss a Hackpack.
I've downloaded everything needed already, so I don't know what to do ... Can someone help me ? To be honest, I'm not really good when it comes to tweak files and things like that.
(excuse my poor english, it's a second langage)
Look in your nwclientLog1.txt file to find which hak file is missing. If you are on EE and Windows you'll find it in -
where YourName is the name your computer. If you are on 1.69 and Windows it is in
TR
Ok,
Apparently, I was missing the "Real skies" Hack. So, problem solved !
Thanks a lot, and congratulations to all the people who keep neverwinter nights alive after all those years ! The Aielund saga is one of the best series of modules I ever played, with "Ravenloft : Beyond the gate" and the "Swordflight" series.
I really liked the modules, but was perhaps a bit disapointed (especially in act I), due to all the praise. I have played other modules I liked better (Swordflight, Almraiven, The porphet series, A dance with rogues). I think it takes the series into act three before I really felt invested in the story. But it is definitely a very epic tale, and one of the longest series out there. I rate the series as a whole 8/10, but act 4 is more like 9/10, while act I is 7/10.
It works for me. Ensure you're using the latest RAR or equivalent to unpack the module.
What a wonderful adventure ... the music, the script, the characters, the atmosphere, the dialogues ... all were amazing. It is worth starting with a low-level character and seeing it go up gradually. This was especially my favorite part of this adventure. My ratings concern the whole series. Thanks to the author for this wonderful trip ... You should all try it!
Module Testing Tournement 2020
could you please tell me the script to edit to keep my gear.?......I've played and worked to hard for the gear I had. Its been a great series till that point, in a hot desert with nothing, come on man. Cus its not fun when your a high level char and get killed by a scorpion cus you don't have "Neutralize Poison" spell.!!!..Then the mod isn't fun to play cus your always dying.....
Outstanding series! The best series by far in the hundreds of modules played. Super design and charater development. Kudos to the developer and team.... My hat is off.
While I loved Acts I and II, I was disappointed with Act III and I feel the same way about this one. The thing that irks me most is the lack of role-playing; this series since Act III really limits your character into being someone who truly cares about Aielund and fights for it loyally and blindly, forcing you to be naive, making it one of the most limited modules I've played when it comes to role-playing.
This module does provide very fun combat encounters though, I like the balance and the fact that this series goes the furthest I've seen with improving henchman AI and capabilities.
Howdy,
I'm currently playing "The Aielund Saga" in EE. When trying to transition from act 3 to act 4 part 1 I get the error message, "missing custom talk table". Would that be in the CEP, or somewhere else?
I'm running CEP 2.4.

(edit) Nevermind. I figured it out. ;^)
