Description | |
ADVENTURE CITY (THE STAFF OF FIVE LEAVES I) is a large, well made, land of adventure. You may play any class, race, or alignment through over 18 quests and side quests. There are over 60 detailed areas to explore as well as over 100 colorfull NPCs. Adventure City is an open-ended module in that you can feel free to explore Adventure City and the surrounding contryside without know where you are going or why (in fact that is a good way to find adventure). Fear not, however, Adventure City has a beautifully created plot and story line. Please enjoy my module and feel free to E-mail me or simply post your comments and suggestions. |

Too open-ended and with dialogue scripting errors.
Not sure if I finished this as I have done all the quests in town? There were so many errors that it is hard to list them all!
Apprentice Davy will not follow you into the West Forest to the elves, but will follow you just about anywhere else! And he is NOT a henchman, but he fights!
Henchmen have a poor interface at best, with no real dialogue options. The priest Norman Light will not follow and you cannot excuse him from the party unless your replace him with someone else. A real pain. To get to Onyx Island you have to click on the lower of the two transition points on the boat, the other one keeps taking you back to the other island.
The Alyzafar Island quest has door switches all over the place, but they do not do anything and are not needed to go through the doorways anyway!
Sherriff quest is not able to finish due to lack of conversation options. If you choose the convo with the bad guy to hear him out, then kill him and all his cronies, you cannot report your success to the Sheriff. Frustrating.
So all in all, a tough one to like. I am not sure that I am done, but am ready to quit anyway...
Playable but as I said earlier many things did not work right. The Blacksmith's apprentice was an annoying one, as he just follows you around town but cannot make it through any of the transitions to the woods. I got to the Island with the priest but you do need to click on the other transition on the boat, and the priest just hangs around without following EXCEPT when you fnally enter the temple, then he fights! And the switches that are all over the first section don't do anything, the fog in the doorways does not impede you.
Not a terrible module but between the very primitive hench interface, lack of gear and broken quests this was not great!
