It is time to put a stop to the marauders! For years the coastal towns have been burned and looted by the forces of evil. You have been recruited to root out and destroy the source of these raids. Into the Drachensgrab Mountains! Hot on the trail of the marauding Slavers, you plunge deep into hostile hills. You seek to strike at the heart of the Slave Lord conspiracy. But beware, hundreds of good men and women have been taken by the Slavers and have never been seen or heard from again! |

Well built but maybe the henchmen needed some adjustment: they were too powerful (especially the dwarven fighter).
I worked my way (maybe it's correct to say that my henchman did) with a low level rogue; all I had to do was to follow her and put some sneak attacks and I did it in a while.
Some unusual encounters, the giant ants were a kind of enemy I didn't ever meet before.
It's not as detailed as JayAre's, but Jay never finished the story.
This has and now I know how the story ends.
I had a lot of great fun with this module, and it was well built from beginning to end. The only issue I had with it was the rather strange ending as it seemed the villain was suppose to summon a group of Drow, but never happened? (The event text suggested something along those lines as she faded away into the Underdark).
A good solid adventure. Lots of areas, some plain, some interesting. You can tell it's a conversion as the companions and a number of NPCs lack much in the way of dialog.
Started with a reused Ranger and finished at almost level 13 Arcane Archer.
Bugs:
I was not able to change companions. The first three companions I added could be removed using the party roster but I could not get the alternate companions to join. They either never offered the correct dialog option or were not available in the party roster.
A couple of conversations didn't fire in Highport but I was able to uncover the needed clues and continue the game so no biggie. (Just keep searching.)
Pluses:
Stores mostly where and when you need them.
Both OC and MotB craftng supported. Made some nifty gear.
Big plus, the companions are not class limited. You can level them up any way you like. That's how I got around the Party Roster bug menetioned above.
Well worth a playthrough.
Liked it and all worked, Strange little adventure after you land in the jail cell and accompanying area, where you are stripped and given almost nothing in the way of gear! I finished it though. Thanks for all the effort, Nol Drek!
I very much enjoyed this module. I used a druid PC and picked up companions as needed. Now that Against the giants is out I want to run through this again with the same party I will use for Against the giants. One problem though, Giants seems to allow a max party of 4 while this allows a max party of 6. Is there a way I can take 6 vs the giants? Also, since this starts around level 6, is there a good module to start at level 1 with? I would absolutely love to start at level 1 with 6 pc's and run all the way through the Queen of the demon web pits with said party.
I'd start with B2 Keep on the Borderlands. Use this version - https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn2/module/b2-keep-borderlands-nwn...
re: changing the number of characters, Against the Gianst is pretty well balanced for four. IMO so is this mod.
It's DMFI friendly but you can play solo with no DM.
Found one I forgot to vote for
Love old school conversions. Will give it a try.
you gave it 10 stars...did you play it yet ?
No. Been doing this for some time.

Liked this version.
Just finished this mod...Really fun, complete, everything worked for the most part. The quest journal felt a little sloppy to me, NPC quest entry bugged (at least in my experience) main quest line in journal entry should have started with prince in starter town, and updated properly from there IMO. Far too many NPC's had the same image when you spoke to them... Not sure how much more of a bother it could have been to slap a dwarf image on a dwarven NPC ?? Overall tho, this was a good one, worth playing and has replayability, with good xp, loot etc. Just could have used a little more polish.
