This is a kit of parts for the creation of custom shield designs. It consists mainly of 2668 png files. These image files are the parts from which you can easily create 100s (or is it thousands, my maths is not great when it comes to things like this). Also there is a small hak file which is essential for getting your designs in game. The images on this page illustrate what is contained in that hak, which is but a fraction of what is contained in this package. There is also a 23 page (includes a contents page and over a dozen large images) manual. Do not let the size of the manual put you off, in many places the images meant that new pages had to be started for little text. There are also a couple of other small things that may be of use to you.
If you want to see some of the trials and tribulations of what went into creating this, there is a (look there for additional information) thread on the bioboards here (via wayback machine). Alas, you can no longer post pictures of your creations on there.
Anyway, have fun and if you like what you see or if you have any (no I will not use it as anal medication) suggestions, please leave a comment.
Special thanks to GunnersaurusRex for the brilliant original model these are based on.

Nothing new about doing more shields for NWN - there's millions of the gits...
But, this "little" package offers even someone with NO idea about Custom Content creation a wide array of ability to change designs and colours to create shields suited to their needs. There's even the facility to make the shields look as if they'd been firmly hit with bricks - it wasn't me - rather than looking as if they've just been made that morning...
Probably as close to "dynamic" shields as NWN is likely to get.
Thank you. That is what I was hoping to achieve. Also this is expandable. Users can add their own devices/embellishments (Klingon Script anyone?) to this kit.

Very nice! I give it a 10 (easily)..
Thank you Ugly_Duck.

I knew you were working on this for some time but hadn't realized the package had been finalized and uploaded.
Astounding! You should be proud and satisfied that all your efforts produced such exalted fruit... errrr... shields. Thank you!
<in bad Homer Simpson voice>
Hmmm, fruit... <drools uncontrollably> Clang! Ohhh, my teeth...
<in normal voice purring aren't we precioussss?>
Thank you for your kind words and score.

Thank you for your very kind words and vote. They really made my day. If you feel like giving it a go and making your own shield designs using this I really do recommend that you use the Greenfish Icon Editor Pro. Despite its name, GFIE is really a simplified but still powerful image editing program (no I have nothing to do with it, I'm just a fan), It comes in two flavours - an installable version from the authors website and a portable version from Portable Apps. Also I would really like to see any designs you come up with.

Finally had time to look through this and it didn't disappoint, Tarot. Great, (and time consuming I'm sure !) piece of work.
Thank you. For an idea of how long it took, follow the link to old bioboard forum at the top of this page.

Tarot,
It's 2:34 AM and I have been looking through your tutorials, all over the place, for hours. I've been downloading tons of stuff. I needed to let you know, YOU are awesome. I am extremely grateful for the efforts you have made to not only give out your work to others, but to help us learn. Thanks so much!
Thank you for that testimonial and vote. FWIW if you want to explore all my stuff (excluding my ccc submissions) click on projects at the top of this page and then select NwN. Leave all the boxes empty except for the tag one. Just type tr into that one and then click apply. For my EE stuff do the same except you first select Neverwinter Nights: EE instead.
