This Hak Pak adds a winter tileset to Neverwinter Nights. To use it first place a copy in the HAK directory in your NWN folder. Create a new module (or open an existing one) select Edit - Module Properties from the drop down menus. Select the Advanced Tab. Select the winter Hak Pak from the Hak Pak drop down list. Add a new area using the Area wizard. You will now see the 'Rural, Winter' tileset. Version History v0.0: Original 3 retextured TGAs by Labtek v0.1: Everwinter retextured TGAs by Kenbok v0.2: Placed in Hak Pak. Added ice mod by Xahlt v0.3: Removed Grass v0.4: Added repeating edge effects v0.5: Retextured the Mini-Map. v0.6: Reduced the TGAs to match those in the release version. v0.7: Now appears as 'Rural, Winter' v0.8: Replaced TGAs with higher resolution DDS files. v0.9: Reintroduced low-res TGAs for video cards that don't support DDS files. |

Note:
The latest version by Labtek is 0.9: Winter Tileset v0.9 (not migrated yet); Direct download link: HERE (230).
I've updated this entry with that version. If a module uses the older 0.8 it could just be added to the Winter Tileset (Old Version) page anyway.
From what I see, v0.9 is fully backwards compatible with v0.8.
The only difference between them: in hakpak for v0.9 each of 71 DDS files has an additional TGA file replacement, all the rest (854 files, including those 71 DDS files) is exactly the same in both versions.
The update from v0.8 to v.0.9 was for compatibility reasons only: this way the tileset could be displayed properly even on a really ancient video card (pre- DirectX 8 perhaps) with very small memory (<64MB, I quess).
Thus if a module uses v0.8 then it would also work properly with v0.9 - with no difference at all.
Only renaming hak's filename would be required in such case: from winter_9.hak to winter_8.hak and that's all. :)
Thanks.
