Are you looking for a quiet, hidden place to conduct your experiments?. Well, look no more. It is here. Used, but still in good condition (at least The Igor says that). Lab tileset - version 1.0.
Do take quick "demo" tour to see it. Or start building with help (the Lab for Builders). And let me know, what do you think of this tileset. It can be improved with your feedback.
About the placeables - There are plenty of them already in The Vault - so you can fill empty rooms to your heart content (or your hardware capacity - whatever comes first). Still, there might be some new stuff - if I'll overcome some issues with exporting animations in Blender.
August 03 - added "blackout" hak and demo mod - this time you can say "bye" to flares and make sure that your secret tiles are no longer visible in game and minimaps. Details in readme below.
August 12 - added two loadscreens, matching the tileset. Had to add this separately due to this "2 megs" limit, imposed lately. Sorry for the inconvenience.
August 15 - loadscreens are currently merged with tile hak into one file - lab v.1_1.
NOTE: loadscreens.2da is matching 1.69. If you use any other custom loadscreens, copy 2 last lines of the .2da and renumber accordingly.

About to download this. It would have been better all packaged together in a 7zip archive as a single download with a readme file that includes a link back here in case anyone has a comment, a bug report or even (these days it'd be a miracle) to score your package.

Some folks might want just the hak, so there's no use to force them to download all. Also, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to double the file upload, putting exactly these same things in another package.

Some area edges look odd when viewed from the side. A border of black tiles around the demo mod areas is probably all you need to fix this.
On the main level, I can see the secret tiles before exploring them, and a light shining through a wall, which just needs a minor tweak, I suspect.
Now, all I need is minions...

I'll fix the areas without black borders. About secret passages - I'm not happy with the way NWN handles maps of areas. Fixing this will include both "blacking" tile - in area map and in game view. It's doable for "fake corridor" feature but requires custom placeable. Infamous flares are more difficult to handle - I'll include this fix in separate download (It'll eliminate flares in every area in the mod).

Still just experimenting with this at the moment, but I can already see a couple of possibilities for this Tileset in Demoness Tales... Some nice looking little bits of terrain in here, (though I might - apologies - change a few textures, just to suit my own particular needs). If any blisteringly constructive thoughts leap to my mind when I get around to using the Tileset properly, I'll let you know.

Go, change the textures, that's ok. by me. And post some screenshots - I'd like to see this new look.
The tileset was made in Blender - I'm not sure if it will be as easy to edit in gmax (there are no sanity checks in Neverblender and it handles materials differently). In case of emergency - send PM.
Doesn't seem to be a problem... I've been delayed in the retexturing on this but the initial tests were fine... and I always just ignore sanity checks, both those in Gmax and those people try to apply to me...
