Suddenly, horrifyingly, the Shabby Hyena Weirdo returns to Trample Heavily all over yet another Great Culture and Crush it to a Paste...
This time, PHoD has attacked the ancient Hellenic glories of the mighty city states of mythic Greece - Athens, Corinth, Sparta, etc - and has squashed them, reducing them to a low-poly heap of less than clever NWN Placeables... So, when the Deluded Hyena Article speaks grandly of Mighty, Mythic, Classical whassnames, you may take that to mean some blobs with pillars on...
So, included in this First Big Sack or Bag of Ancient Greek Things, you get... um... You get Mighty, Grand, Heroic, Towering... um... some Big Bricks, loosely glued together by a Mad Hyena (who is in no way recognized by the Hellenic Architectural Society), which have then had numerous pillars nailed onto them in order to pretend feebly that they in some way represent legitimate ancient Greek buildings. This convinces precisely nobody. But it's the best I can do under the constraints of aggravatingly squitty NWN Polycounts and the restricted amount of time available between all the getting fallen upon by assorted Wild Animals who, for reasons unknown, take exception to having tranquilizer darts fired into their backsides and grotesquely unfashionable radio tags applied to them. ALSO included are numerous shields with more or less authentic ancient Greek designs.
IMPORTANT NOTES:-
1. As with most PHoD Building Placeables, if you observe these Placeables closely, you will notice that they have farcical looking additional "below ground" depth. This is so that they can be placed on rough, uneven terrain without displaying an obvious lack of foundations and holes beneath them which would just look daft. It also means that the City Walls Placeables can cross water without leaving easily swum in through holes in the alleged city defences that would otherwise render their defensive worth approximately zero. All Buildings are set at base height 0 and thus should be placed that way in the Toolset, eg: flat on the ground at the base height of the Tileset. Just ignore the below ground continuations.
2. The "Acropolis" Placeable is not intended to look particularly impressive on its own. It exists solely to have other buildings and statuary placed on top of it to show the raised areas of a citadel, most ancient Greek cities generally having such raised areas. Hence Acropolis - High City. So don't come whinging to me saying it looks like a huge, featureless Big Brick. Just stick temples on top of it and around it and then ignore it. The Screenshots here should give you the idea.
3. The City Walls Placeables are intended to have City Walls Tower Placeables placed at each corner or join, so as to hide the otherwise unsightly ends of the walls. This is mandatory. Or you will have somewhat boring and scraggy looking city walls.
4. When using the larger temples and other buildings, be aware that if you place them in the Toolset on top of Creature models, the Creatures will be crushed to pastes, which will hurt their feelings. This is easily avoided by placing a City FIRST and then putting inhabitants in the open spaces afterwards. I find it works better that way round.
5. At all costs, you should avoid using the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus Placeable, because I got carried away making it and as a result it is immensely high-poly and I haven't really got it re-engineered to a realistic size for NWN yet. Fortunately, avoiding using it is very easy because I haven't included it in this first selection and thus it isn't there and so you can't.
As with all the other PHoD Trampled Upon Great Cultures, there will be updates and additions to this Greek stuff. The next lot will include numerous unpleasant Spleen Creatures from Greek Myth, many more statues and some of the buildings that still need work. And more ruins. And a small, simple Greek Temple Interior Tileset. And possibly some other things, I forget... There should be more to come soon for the other projects already on the Vault too, India, Egypt, Central and South Africa and also the forthcoming PHoD attacks upon the great Nahuatl cultures and the Far East... um... bit by bit... as time allows... and when Fifi can persuade the Rabid Hyena Loony to do one thing at a time and thus actually get something finished.
NOTE:- New Version of Hak now uploaded with Missing Texture inserted. So it isn't Missing any more. (Sorry - comes of doing too many things at once).

I think I may have found a descrepency in two textures with the Female and Male Greece Statues, unless they are suppose to look the way that they are.
Absolutely scandalous. I love it.
The word spleen comes from Ancient Greek σπλήν (splḗn).
Another unique addition! Great! Again: Good job!
Always hearwarming to see another PHoD addition to the Vault! Thank you for contributing such madness to the community!
Beautiful as always., especially the pottery and shields.
There was a filthy Missing Texture... or rather, there WASN'T one, which is why it was Missing. NEW version of the Hak with non-missing Missing Texture in it is now here to replace the nasty, moth-eaten one which has been taken away and hit with a Big Brick.
PHoD, don't worry about how high-poly the model is, use nwnmdlcomp and it will load in a breeze ;)
My latest heads from Dissidia NT are ~100k and they load in 2 seconds just because they are fancymapped.
Amazing, Thanks for This!
PHoD - YOU ARE A LOT OF FUN!!
Good times!
Excellent !
Really nice of you to give us these !!!
