Player Resource Consortium Companion ==================================== This is an optional additional hak to the PRC that contains the best of the vault combined together. When used, the PRC code will auto-detect its presence and swap to using the content automatically. In addition, this includes merges for different combinations of PRC, PRC Companion, and CEP1/2. Installation Instructions ------------------------- The companion comes in two formats. Either a self-extracting version designed for windows users and a manual 7zip version for other OS or manual installation. Automatic Installation The self-extraction file should automatically place the files in their correct locations. Once you have them done that, you need to add them to any modules you are using. Note, this will not affect saved games only new ones. The easiest way to do this is using the PRC module updater directly. By default, it will be installed to NeverwinterNights\PRCPack\PRCModuleUpdater.exe Once you run it, you will be presented with a range of options to use to install; these correspond to the .hif files you extracted earlier: PRC Pack This is the normal PRC installation prc_ocfix This is the PRC original campaign fix prcc This is the PRC and the PRC Companion prcc1 This is the PRC, CEP1 and the PRC/CEP1 merge prcc2 This is the PRC, CEP2 and the PRC/CEP2 merge prccC1 This is the PRC, PRC Companion, CEP1 and the relevant merge prccC2 This is the PRC, PRC Companion, CEP2 and the relevant merge Since the PRC is included in all of these files, you should only run them on non-prc versions of the module. Manual Installation 7Zip tools can be obtained from http://www.7-zip.org/ for windows, http://sourceforge.net/projects/p7zip/ for linux, and http://homepage.mac.com/krmathis/ for mac. .hak & .hif files go in your hak directory .tlk files go in your tlk directory The next step is to associate the haks with the module, normally though the toolset. The exact order that the haks are in is not that important. The key points are that: A) The relevent merge hak (named as with the hif files above) must be the top hak B) That if you have both PRC and CEP (either 1 or 2) on the module you must use prccep as your custom tlk file |
