Is there a PHP doctor in the house?

Does anyone here have php and unix linux server configuration skills?

My NWN forum is down. Not getting much support from my web host.

Please PM me if you might be able to assist!

How long has this been a problem?

Are you sure it's something on your end, Proleric?  On the yuku-based forums we were forced through a painful server migration last yearend, experiencing extended outages for over a month as they re-indexed all the associated websites.  What do you use to parse your PHP?  Is it on-line or contained within the local server itself?  Maybe a reinstall (PHP/CRT) would fix?

Madness... a blessing for the chosen few.

It's been a problem since 17-Jan. Logged here:

As I understand it, the php code is interpreted, not compiled.

My first thought is that the web host changed the server configuration somehow, but I'm not getting much help from them, so I was wondering how to get more diagnostics.

I can see the files in my public folder and home folder, but the higher level server configuration (including the PHP installation) is controlled by the host.

Tried googling that error - Looks like PHP doesn't have proper permissions to access a directory, possibly /tmp ?

This guy had the same issue as you (although a different stack admittingly)

Hard to tell without more detailed information - sorry.

Problem now fixed by second line support at the host.

If I've understood correctly, it was a configuration issue with an Apache upgrade they'd recently installed.
