New editor (TinyMCE)

Hello,

I've swapped out the default editor drupal shipped with (CKEditor) with TinyMCE. This one should have less issues, support better formatting, and not break at the slightest breeze.

If you have any issues/comments aboiut that matter, please post here. We can always revert; but so far this looks to be the better choice.

The new formatting options are pretty neat, but they don't seem to carry over into finished posts (or maybe I'm just too stupid to figure out how to use them). And embedding images seems to be gone altogether? :-(

Seems to format code OK

SetLocalObject(oHorse,"oX3_HorseOwner",oOwner);

// make sure variables on oHorse are correct
            sName=GetLocalString(oHorse,"sX3_OriginalName");
            if (GetStringLength(sName)<1)
            { // define original name
                sName=GetName(oHorse);
                SetLocalString(oHorse,"sX3_OriginalName",sName);
            } // define original name
            if (GetMaster(oHorse)==oOwner)
            { // was set okay
                if (GetStringLowerCase(GetStringRight(GetName(oOwner),1))=="s"||GetStringLowerCase(GetStringRight(GetName(oOwner),1))=="z")
                  SetName(oHorse,GetName(oOwner)+"' "+sName);
                else { SetName(oHorse,GetName(oOwner)+"'s "+sName); }
            } // was set okay

Strange that the default is not left-aligned, though - a bit tedious to have to change that on every post.

This may be my last post on here as the new editor does not have a simple mechanism for posting links, images and word formatted text. Without those first 2 my messages would be eviscerated. Also the lack of any sort of spellchecker is another minus.

I've reset the FilteredHTML option back to CKEditor.

The previous attempt didn't stick, because it would disable all the good plugins that made TinyMCE better-looking and generate better code. I'll get the backend sorted out first (htmlpurifier), and we can get rid of the somewhat limited drupal html filtering. This should improve CKEditor a bit while we evaluate other options to take it further.

Tests below, ignore.

I've noticed that per default the paragraph alignment is now on Center. This is kind of annoying since moste text is written Align Left.

The HTML code view is gone right? Not that I used it, just noticed the source view is missing now.

I like the show blocks option.

People are reporting this, but I'm not seeing it on any system I have access to.  What are you running, browser/OS-wise?

The code view isn't gone - you can click "Disable rich-text" and see/edit the html code.

... odd, I'm on win7, Firefox 50.1

I get the auto-centering and early wrap 'bug(s)'. But when i switch to "Plain text" from "Filtered HTML", the input reads:

|p|test|/p|

- (substituting pipes for angled-brackets) ie, no centering in the markup. And if i do a preview w/ filtered html, everything looks normal (left-aligned).

( If I do preview w/ plain text, the preview shows a bunch of markup. )
