Red Wizard of Thay

So, someone told me try it. Is it really that good ? The only one I know is that one from MotB. Not a solid indicator as that's hi-lvl campaign with multiple casters.

Is the spell power advantage gain more than other wizard types ? Can it go beyond 30 lvl caster cap ?

will I do better with human Red Wizard or some other races (with + INT bonus) Wizard ?

What School is better ?

Isn't Human a requirement for that PrC?

Yes, Human is a Red Wizard prerequisite. There are builds that max out their spell powers.

I mean if human Red Wizard compared to other races' Wizard.

Like say, human Red Wizard (+ spell power, -2 spell school)  vs Sun elf wizard (+2 INT),  which one makes a better spellcaster ?

Red Wizard is for when you want to be really, really good at one school. It trades the flexibility of the second school for it. A Red Wizard will generally be better at their chosen school than any other wizard of the same level. Evocation school is the traditional "wizard who blows stuff up" school, for things like fireballs and lightning bolts.

Thanks for answer. I checked nwdb. I think I get the idea.

Seems Red Wizard isn't how exactly I want to play wizards. I'll try it, but might or might not like it.
