Future prospects for proper implementation of D&D 3.5 in NWN2

What are the chances that we will have a proper implementation of 3.5 in NWN2?

It seems that a lot of the things that we might want to implement are prevented by hardcoding. Stuff like a working Eldritch Theurge, for example.

Will the community be able to fix this? Or would NWN2 have to be redone in a new engine?

The current engine has a number of hard coded limitations that would require a complete rebuild to address. Perhaps that may become possible if Xoreos is ever completed.

technically, Xoreos is a group of engines that share similar characteristics. An NwN2 engine is one of them... from our nwn2-centric perspective, that's the target

Xoreos? First time I have heard of that. Interesting.

I have a better question: Can we implement 5e into NWN2?

There will be a lots of hard-coded obstacles, but I think it's more or less doable... to some extent :P

IDK, I've yet to read anything about 5e that makes me want to get involved with it. I think I'd work on a D20 version in preference to 5e. Just my two cents.
