Ground appears black all the time

Hi folks!

So get over one hump and onto the next:(

It would appear that my starting areas ground texyure has gone black, all the time. Regardless of time of day. You enter and you cant see any ground texture whatsoever.

The ground is completely black. No clue as to how this happened. Ifi connect to my PW on server it shows black, if i run module from toolset it shows as black.

Anyone ever have this bug happen to them?

Any help would be  greatly appreciated!

Thx!

Possibly a corrupt area. Can you export the area and import it into a new module?

Did you rename the Area? How many Dynamic Lights do you have?

THis could happen if your missing your TRX file or you have too many Dynamic Lights hitting the same tile.

If its a interior area . .  try changing the   floor texture

If its a outdoor  area  . . make sure you have those  textures in the right hak/folder

Theres a bug where your textures get out of their 1-6 order, so for instance the texture slots 1-3 are used, 4 is empty, and 5 is used. That will cause this. Normally pretty easily fixed by terracoppa or swapping around textures.

Sorry for late reply.

It seems re baking the area corrected this issue :)

thx for all suggestions.

I've had this problem multiple times.

Generally it's just a bad snag in the baking, but if uploading to a server, it's best to bake, manually replace the .TRX and .TRN, as well as moduleresources.xml, which will always fix the problem.

I literally had this yesterday when updating my server, but the new files weren't being added to the server, meaning the area technically had false terrain and textures, making it all black.
