Conversation question - What does underlining mean

I've seen in a few modules when looking at conversations that the text on some nodes are underlined. What does this mean? I've searched on this site and looked in the toolset without being able to figure it out.  I mean, maybe it's something useful that one should know about.

If you look at the pdf file I've attached here (it's a screenshot from a conversation in the module Dark Avenger) you can see that some nodes are underlined, so that's what my question was about.

(I tried to post a picture here to clarify but it didn't work at first but in the post above is a pdf with a picture of how it looks like in the conversation)

Not sure really, but perhaps there's some unusual setting under the Node tab for those entries?

That's a "main question node link". A normal link just links one node, whereas the "main question node link" links all of the PC responses to a NPC's node. It's very handy when you have a lot of possible responses to a single node as it links all of them for you, instead of linking each response individually.

Thanks for the reply!

How do you get it to work though? Do you right click on the NPC's node and choose "Set Link Destination", and then a PCs response to "Insert Link to Main Question Node"? 'Cause I tried that but nothing happened. Or do you have to somehow click on the NPCs node and make it a main question node? Maybe I'm just daft..? frown (Or maybe I can find the answer in some manual somewhere but...)

To set a main question node link, first click on the original NPC node to highlight it. Then click the "Set link destination" button. Next, click on the NPC node you want to have the responses linked to. Finally, click the "Insert link to main question node" button. At that point, all of the PC responses on the original NPC node will now be linked in the second NPC node. You'll see this has been done when you see the underlining of the nodes. To clear that link, click the "Clear link to main question node" button while the NPC node is selected.

travus is turning into a wizard by dissecting all our mods he downloads :P I had no idea about this feature. Time to investigate!

I've used this feature for years, but it's never gave me an underline (afaik) lol

I remember in the old days of duplicated lines, but this saved so much time.

These forums are being retired. https://forum.neverwintervault.org/ is the new forums.

Last time I was on here, there seemed to be an uproar on why we need new forums, after the bioware ones closed, so assumed everyone was still using this.

On a side note, the new forum format is terrible :P

It's certainly more useful than this forum.
