Toolset vs Loaded Game placeable bugs

Is it common for different placeables to share a common  DDS  with  mutiple  textures on it ?    

LIke a table, a apple, bread etc

If so, how does the map know which texture to pull?

Not that common, but some placeables share (similar housing groups for instance). Someone who makes brand new placeables could say for sure, but I think the mdb contains information about how to apply the texture to the object.

Yes, it happens, usually for a set of placeables or creatures: with just one texture file, you have several different objects.

The game knows which part of the texture to use thanks to the UV mapping (U and V being the coordinates on the texture where to grab the data).

I really feel like I am beating my head against the wall with these placeables  . . . .

I have found that  depending on how I add them in to the pack  changes the  various errors that show up 

So   I can  load the  EXACT same set of  placeable mbd/dds files, using the same 2da file  . . . .and depending on if I load them into the NWN2Packer   MBD first , DDS first or  alphabetical forward or backward  . .  I get  different  errors  IN the game.   everything from Missing textures swapped textures ,  Missing  appearances , Swapped appearances    [ which will show up fine in a different configuration]   Everything shows up PERFECT in the toolset.  I have tried pulling all  jpg, tga and  RES files from the lot   just seems to stir the mix a little more .  I have Nothing in Override.  I keep hoping for a clue  Somewhere that will point to my issue but so far no luck   ,   I can get  Every set to show up  fine individually if I load  Just that set and its  2da into a test mod.  Everything works fine if I just load it into my OVerrides, but thats not a  end option for our PW  it needs to work from a hak

ONE ISSUE FOUND

 The placeables from the  Catacombs [https://www.nexusmods.com/neverwinter2/mods/1008/?] (link is external) tileset  and the placeables from the Statues pack  [ https://www.nexusmods.com/neverwinter2/mods/1009?tab=description (link is external) ]  have  9 dds files with the same name , BUT the two file sets,  while the  same textures, seem to be offset slightly, causing  textures issues on one or the other of the packs depending on which set is used and how they are loaded. - Unfixable at this time  . . . MDB files evidently use these files in a hidden manner so renaming and reassigning the  DDS  with the MDB Cloner  does not work for either Set.  I have to choose between the sets and use one or the other :(.
