Description: Twice now during area transitions that involve doors in the same player made campaign, I had strange glitches. The first, only the party leader showed up in a white area with a door I could do nothing with (use, bash, etc.), the other 3 characters had portraits marked with some kinda away symbol. The second, I wound up in an all black area, could barely see otulines of the leader and some NPCs in the area going to but no one else, once again other 3 characters marked with that same symbol.
Thinking of submitting to GOG unless someone knows about this.

Why can I not seperate lines like normal for easier reading? My few other posts never had this problem.

I don't have a really good idea other than making sure Direct X 9.0c is installed (don't worry, you can have 9.0c and later versions of Direct X installed at the same time).

The only time I've seen that, the transitions were not set up correctly.  IIRC this one will only work if the PC goes through first. Which module or campaign is this?

@kamal, I believe I have that installed though do not remember how to check under Win 10 Anniversary.

@GCoyote, I am beginning to think that is the case, that it is the module, not somethign else. I have played some other modules inder NWN2 and not had this problem. The 2 transitions where this happened, I sued them a few times each, no problems the other time.

Had a third moment like the first since reporting this.

Found the one on the vault (not sure how to search here for stuff from only NWN1 or NWN2 so it took some time). It is the second file located here, the file named kotbv1.0.1.rar. I think I determined the first file's contents were not needed after looking at them. Strange this got good reviews despite having this area transition problem along with a few other issues I found.

Okay, I have not played that one yet. There may be more than one path through the module so not everyone would encounter the bug. Also, that particular download may be corrupt. Did you try an earlier save game and make sure that the PC goes through the transition first?

I believe you nailed it, the area transition bug.

In the module Readme, it states there are only 3 companions for it, Fighter, Rogue and Mage so I made a Cleric PC. It is a habit with me in a group to take whoever is a Fighter-type and lead with them mainly for areas where combat is expected for obvious reasons. I tend to do this often in areas with no combat expected too. So I am leading with the Fighter companion and therefore getting this.

Going to be a bit difficult from here on out, the first place this happened was a caves area where walking into a cave can put you right into combat because of enemies near the entrance.
