Editing default character apperance when no armor or clothes are equiped

Greetings

I would like to ask you for advice. Im building module when character starts as an slave and those fancy clothes that character wears when nothing is equiped just doesnt fit to the role. So im looking for way to change it. I have already downloaded mesh and texture and managed to create a blueprint how the characters should look like, that works both for males and females of all races, that will be allowed to play as, but i dont want it as an equipable item, but as an default character apperance when nothing is equiped. Im using game with both expansions.

Can you give me some tutorial of what and how to edit?

You can either override Cloth01 Appearance for each Race Gender. Or write a script that auto equips the blueprint when they are naked, and delete the blueprint when they equip some other armor.

I went with the script method.

Thank you for quick reply.

If i override Cloth01, change will be game-wide in all modules and campaign and if i write a script, i have to attach that script to my module and change will appear in my custom module only, is that correct?

and both metods can be compiled into hak for use in PW?

No, Overriding Cloth01 will only affect the campaign / module you override it in. So if you shove an armor appearance into the game that is called P_HHM_Cloth01.. that will override male cloth armors, Cloth01 being the default one that is used on naked characters.

(This would also override any armors that use Cloth01 as an appearance though.. but that could be fixed too)

As for the script.. that doesn't require a hak or anything really.. It's just a hook you add in your OnUnEquip Event handler. Or at least how I did it.

And for the script to work properly, do i have to have clothes i have created in inventory? and what if some charecters unequips it manualy?

Can be the script written with functionality that:

1. When character unequips any clothes - my custom clothes will be created and equiped

2. when my custom clothes are put into inventory, it will be automaticaly destroyed to prevent inventory garbaging after each change

and does the script works gamewide or only in some modules?

And for overriding Cloth01 metod, where exactly do i find Cloth01 file, or how to edit it?
