I know it's because copy and paste doesn't work well here, but the way it is now the text is too hard to read.

Reading should be more relaxing ;-)

I know people have been going on about wanting feedback so here I go.

First I want to say thanks " Genisys " for the things you are doing and have been doing for this wonderful game and it's community. That said, having all a wall of text like that was just too much for me. So I quit reading it less then 20% of the way into it. It would have helped me alot if it was broken up a few different times.

Please keep up the work your doing Genisys I think your doing a great job.

I think his reply right after the wall of text implies that he had it more nicely formatted but that formatting didn't copy into the forum along with the text.

... and his edited first post confirms that.

Correct, you can read the original post at the site, which is basically a text file hosting site.

You can and should post this as an Article instead of forum post. This will allow you to add some tags etc etc. should be more accessable.

Sorry but it comes across as a long-winded rant. I strongly encourage you to rewrite it as a proper essay with an introduction or abstract, bulleted points, and a summary. Otherwise the takeaway is "don't build boring modules." I suspect you have some very good points buried in the rant, but it's not obvious. And obvious is what today's smartphone generation needs to see. Otherwise most of your readers will probably think:

tl;dr

I agreed with most of your post, except for this:

"don't make adventures longer than an hour in game play"

I don't see the appeal of a short module at all. Too much hassle to get the character up and running for not enough game. If I'm going to play an adventure I'm going to want something that will last several play sessions, and total like 20h or more (preferably more), Ideally something that takes me from level 3 to 20, at a reasonable pace. This is obviously a full campaign, likely broken up into chapters, rather than a short little adventure, but the short little adventures, to me, seem like nothing more than a tech-demo or experiment for the builder to practice with.

If a game is really good then to be 100% honest I don't want it to ever end. :)

One of these days (when I'm done building the PW I'm working on). I want to build a NWN Adventure Path covering at least 3-15, probably 3-20. I'd do an adaptation of an official Pathfinder or D&D adventure path that doesn't exist in NWN. We'll see; maybe I'll do Rise of the Runelords, Curse of the Crimson Throne, or Out of the Abyss.

Bwaaahahaha... you are never done building a PW!    It sucks all the time you can spare and is never "finished"  :)

Eh, perhaps. I'm not planning on doing any GMing on the server afterwards, like most PW people do though, I'm sticking to the building/planning/designing aspect. (Once it's finished, I intend to play on it, and perhaps occasionally host it on a separate server for a small group of friends to romp through as we're intending to incorporate ProcGen dungeoncrawling elements) I actually expect that once I'm satisfied with the build (filled in all the features I have planned/scoped) I will declare it "Finished Version 1.0" and not continue to constantly add to it, and instead shift my focus to other projects unless something breaks or really needs to be changed. But it's possible priorities will change.

I'd say that's a case of "best laid plans of mice and men" personally. Built on four or five of them over the years and tend to agree with Meaglyn. wink
