Not entire sure if this is possible but that's why I'm asking, I'm wonder if the ray vfx effects for like negative energy ray, frost ray and fire ray can be extracted somehow and used in normal code for other things. I'm also wondering if these vfx's can be used for projectile weapons instead of the ammunition that normally comes out of them? I know that's a weird request but I'm simply curious. :D

 

Also wondering if there are any hidden VFX effects that aren't listened in the vanilla nwn loadout that people use, things like the ray eyeball attacks and fireballs that come from catapults are things that come to mind first, but I'd like to know if there are any others.

Almost any object can be made to produce beams, fireballs or whatever.

A few techniques:

ActionCastSpellAtObject for SPELL_NEGATIVE_ENERGY_RAY or whatever.

ActionCastSpellAtLocation for (say) SPELL_FIREBALL with a high ballistic projectile path

EffectBeam

EffectVisual Effect

 

If you know exactly what you want to happen, there is probably a way of doing it.

The only real constraint is that you can't add new beam effects to the game in single player.
