How to reduce price with Item Quality Property? Need help

Hey people , how are you?

I need help.

I would like to reduce the price of the item altering its Item Property Item Quality.

Example:

Short Swort ---> Normal Price: 1000 GP

When it is 90% (Qual.) the price should be 900 GP (in other words, 1000 GP * 0.9)

When it is 80% (Qual.) the price should be 800 GP

When it is 70% (Qual.)the price should be 700 GP

Is possible? How?

Because I have a system of Item Quality. When the item lose quality, it should also lose price in your corrects proportions

Two ways here.

The easy one is across all your merchants, the Sell Mark Up value should always be the same. This avoids a short sword being different costs. The same should go for Buy Mark Down.

The second option is to modify the .2da file - I believe it is itempropdef.2da - under the CostTableResRef. The values there add to the multiplyer of the item's base value.

There may be other options but those are the two I know about. For myself, I just do the first option.

You can approximate it.   You can add your quality settings to the iprp_qualcost.2da file and set cost values.   For example you could make the 100% case 1.0 and work down from there but you will need to adjust your startng costs.  Otr you could use -0.9  for 90% etc.   But I don't think you will end up with exact numbers lile 1000, 900 etc. I don't recall the formula used to come up with the actual prices.

I was about to change the item cost working in the 2da. However, to diferents materials of the item (gold, silver, bronze...), I can't reduce its price to zero by changing the item quality parameters.

Gold (1000 GP) - Item quality cost = value diferent to all materials

Silver  (500 GP) - Item quality cost = value diferent to all materials

Bronze (120 GP) - Item quality cost = value diferent to all materials

That's part of why I said you could approximate it.   Also, why would you want it to get to zero?  A gold short sword, no matter the condition, should be worth its weight in ... gold (give or take some non-gold parts).
