[LF] Lunar Tileset

Hello, Vault Users!

I'm in a need of a tileset that could make for a moon/lunar landscape. I searched through the vault, but I've failed to find anything even remotely related (not counting the plane of cheese, of course...) and I wonder if anyone is aware if something like that even exists....

You know, I was just thinking about a lunar tileset a few weeks ago. Albeit I was also thinking of chucking in the Japanese buildings by Coulisfu for some vaguely fantasy inspired stuff

I don't think there's any specifically made for it. The closest I can think of is the Black Desert from CTP, but even that's not specifically moon related and is just sort of fitting in the "Flat, sandy and dark" fields. Plus you'd need to make sure any of the various crystal plants don't show up

(Incidentally reminds me I need to grab that tileset and do my Mecheon's Stupid Part 2 at some point)

I've long been meaning to make exactly this by retexturing a mountains or desert tileset but never seem to have quite managed it. As a result I tend to resort to using the desert tileset to craft a "planetscape" with a heavy use of placeables, carefully excluding any greenery, and using a grey lighting. It works, but is time consuming and not ideal.

Perhaps I should get on with my earlier mission if there's a demand.

Why not use a desert tileset and simpley fiddle with the lighting?  You could probably get something lunar looking that way. Another option might be to use a snowy tileset that has slopes. I recall one I used had some crater like depressions which would be suitable for a moonscape.

I would use the built-in Underdark tileset + a custom skybox (e.g. PHoD's skyboxes) and fiddle with the lighting.

Yes, that's what I've always done up to date. But I don't care for the greenery on a moonscape and so are limited to tiles without it, and more than anything else want more of a rock strewn and asteroid pock-marked landscape look from textures. So I'm currently remodelling and retexturing a lot of standard tiles, and a few that never made their way into D20 Modern, to get that. It's a work in progress but getting there.
