Let's Drool Again, Like We Did Last...

To start off here is something different. Was I tempted to use this as is? Yep. Well you've got to have a sense of humour. Unless you're a masochist model builder I doubt anyone is crazy enough (not even PHOD) to try to make any of them (but you never know). Anyway, here is the dA link. Enjoy.

I found some very nice concept art on the Vanguard LQGaming site that perhaps some of us may find inspirational.

Uh, nice. I'm gonna make a couple of version of these obelisks to test the upcoming neverblender version. It's simple nough to model and I can add some animations (which will need testing smiley). Thx for sharing.

Here's a couple of piccies from dA. The first is an excellent bit of photo-manipulation that results in an image of an impending battle. The second shows that the X (in the UK it's 5 but it varies in different countries) fruit and veg a day doesn't have to be boring. Also it all depends on your viewing angle.

Well, well didn't realise. Happy Birthday HGW. Didn't know today was your 150th. No one would have believed at the start of the 21st century...

Here is one that I think is relatively doable. In fact I think it would only take a a slight alteration to the texture of an existing model. Yet it is still somewhat creepy and if someone was quick off the mark, they would be in time for halloween.

I dunno. You wait for ages and then on one day there are 3 at once. OK, first one is too intricate really for that elven village but... Then these for your favourite witches pad. Lastly something for TO to consider instead of a single curved wall... (and you might just be able to grab a texture here)

Thank goodness that these boards are not as po-faced as the (soon to be totally late and lamented) official boards. Now I aleays say that even serious stories and modules can benefit from a little humour. Well here is a case in point...

Scale stuff is a bit ridiculous sometimes, with spaceships and all that. Scale stuff on a ridiculous amount of spec-bio stuff, though? Heck yeah.

This picture vaguely reminds me of LotR:Fellowship of the Ring.

And now for something completely different. Hey it's that time of year so rather than one image, here is a link to a page full of relevant links. I don't know about the rest of the world, but here in the UK we have a traditional thing called a Christmas Cracker. These are renowned for containing terrible jokes. Well these cartoons are much better than cracker jokes.

Finally, Merry Christmas.

Here's a couple of different things. First we have a model for those that enjoy Japanese monster movies. The other is an interesting article on GitHub.

This time there is a short 3 1/2 minute movie narated by William Shatner. The main feature being a different page with 12 monster descriptions some of which should be doable for NwN by those with the talent to do so. This radio station hosting these must be having a special day/week/month/year/whatever as there are other pages on there with the same theme.

I am partial to dipping into the QI (stands for Quite Interesting) website. This is an offshoot of the BBC TV show of the same name. When I read on there about this I couldn't quite believe it but apparently it is true. Would you believe that in Dublin (that's the capital city of the Republic of Ireland) there is actually the National Leprechaun Museum. Mind you I suspect that the only crock of gold to be found there comes from the entrance fees.

Do you like making armour? Do you want a little bit of a challenge making something slightly different that is based in the real world? Have a look at the samurai armour that this Japanese company makes. It might inspire you to try making it for NwN.

OK, this is an odd one. I recieved an email that went into my spam folder. It seemed to be from atari. So I took a deep breath and looked. As far as I can tell it was from atari. There was a link to a single page (ATN anyway) website. From the cryptic nature of the email I am guessing that they are going to release a new games console (are they mad?). Anyway, here is the link. According to my ip checking plugin the site is owned by Amazon.

Another single link again I'm afraid. The web page at the other end of the link just has a number of pictures of trees. OK number three has naked boys and girls but that is not the reason for posting. I'd love to see some number five (Dragons Blood Tree) in NwN. Also number 23 (and found in the UK) has to be the creepiest real world tree ever. AFAIK This tree looks like it does prely down to chance and the removal of diseased wood. Enough chat - here's the link.

Gotta love bored panda even if it is only a single link. Talking of which, if you are of a sensitive disposition don't follow this link. 5 pages of pictures of wierd nature stuff. I think my favourite has to be the Devil's Fingers Fungus (aka Octopus Stinkhorn). Even Ripley would stear clear of that one. Might be a good addition for underdark tales.

You can regard this as a bit of a challenge. I doubt very much that anyone will take it up (hint even if I had the skill, I wouldn't). First look at this, take a selfie and then do it for a  working NwN/Nwn2 character. Obviously to a lower poly count though. Might be a giggle or a new monster cool.

I was looking for mosquito creature at NWN vault for a module and was suprised there was none, I came across this low poly animated model:

I lack the skills but any of you talented people could take a look ?

Thank you Tarot, I don't know how I've missed that over the years

I would be very greatful if someone would add to the model just a proboscis, I would retexture it more black and a ... a mosquito! :)

I apologise. This is not a normal post for this thread. It is just a news story that yahoo uk has posted. There are no pictures only the ones your imagination conjures up. I do hope that it is true. It is one of those "if it was fiction you wouldn't believe it" stories. Now it may be cruel of me but I just found this story to be funny. Obviously the victim didn't. There again it was undergraduate students under the influence of alcohol (for US readers the lower age limit for buying alcohol in the UK is 18). OK I've teased you enough, here is the story.

From my perspective here in the UK, this very short movie definitely nails US President Trump. To start the movie just click the upper picture.
