Nice list. As you briefly mentioned the ccc could I suggest you add the ccc catalogue to it. This is not just banging my own drum. As well as listing all the content of every month's entry there are also links inside it to each months release which makes it easier to find stuff.

No problem, TRH. Added! If you'd like to write a paragraph about CCC and your catalogue, I will add it into the body of the post and credit you in it.

That goes for any content creator who would like to add a newbie-friendly blurb for any of their entries into the body of the post, btw; I'm no expert, by any stretch. :D

The Neverwinter...

There was this great mod which I have downloaded which shows all the effects and conditions affecting the player character in the right-hand corner of the screen so you can tell at a glance when a buff or nerf is about to go away.

The file is called "Powerups.rar", but it has been so long ago that I don't recall the name of the mod.

Fester Pot

It's called Immunity Icons an can be downloaded via the link below for anyone interested as it was not migrated over yet to its own project.

• Wrote an intro that people here might like.

• Rewrote the first 7 sections.

• Newbie override section added.

• Added monster visuals resource comparison: vanilla vs. Creature Override Compilation vs. Project Q, with pics.

• Gave CPP and CEP their own section. Project Q section given more prominence.

• Added Shadoow and Amethyst comments to body of post.

• Post has been streamlined to cut out the "crap". More streamlining needed.

This is one of my most popular posts, so I'm trying to get it balanced for newbies so that more people get into this game.

Great work.

I was looking exactly for such list for Oblivion few days ago.

Also what the situation about BG2EE mods? I used to mod BG2 a lot but that was before EE came, did anything change? Does mods like stratagems work on EE?

EDIT: Do you know patch 1.13 for Jagged Alliance 2? Would be worth to write about I think.

This thread should be pinned!

A quick guide like your blog is very useful for returning players or newbies.

EDIT

Added some suggestions:

Blake´s GUI mod enlarges the font size. Great stuff, english only.

Wesley´s stylish GUI. Top dog!

(Can´t find it somehow) Niv´s darkvision override.

I've posted a starting-point write-up on Jagged Alliance 1.12, but not 1.13. In that post, I don't recommend 1.13 for new players. But you should read the "Features I'm Fond of" section in order to remember how great 1.12 was, by itself, anyway. :P

The EEs are still in the process of being patched with bugfixes and x64 support. People have managed to get SCS going, but I'm not a fan of modding EE because it's still early days yet and the original + SCS has had over a decade of playtesting under its belt. Here is my recommended Weidu set-up (bottom of post). Good luck getting that going with EE...

Blake's UI is already in the post. I'll add the other one into the UI section.
