What ambient occlusion and depth of field looks like in custom tilesets

I really like the new ambient occlusion. To show what it looks like in custom tilesets, I made a video and uploaded it to Youtube. https://youtu.be/8p-c5unTTPU
Once I've added normal maps and spec maps, I'll make a new video. This time I will also not forget to turn the skybox override on.

May I ask which tileset did you use in the first area, the mountain?

Mountains and More. Also check out Mountainous Forest and Medieval City. (Bonus link, not depicted in video but an easily overlooked gem, Arabian Nights)

When I turn on ambient occlusion, the game grinds to a near halt with fps around 1-3. Are you guys using the default setting for your video card? Or have you tweaked it outside of NWN: EE? I have a GeForce GT 730 and used the nVidia control panel to max out quality. I also turned on all of the high quality setting within NWN except for the frame-buffer options. Performance is just dandy so long as I don't use the ambient occlusion.

What have you folks done?

I never used it in combination with vibrancy but other than that the settings are pretty much the default ones.

I don't see depth of field, and ambient occlusion seems to darken the models in a very wrong manner. Look at the shadow on her face, and then nothing on the neck underneath! This is a sham! Ok, maybe I'm old and can't appreciate it, but still!

I don't know why you aren't seeing depth of field. Some people even complained that Beamdog had overdone it. I don't think so. I like it the way it is, but I don't understand that you don't see it at all. I also don't know what you are talking about concerning her face and neck. I don't see ambient occlusion do anything to the toon there. Where you can see its effects best is under the crossbeams and the lintels of the buildings.

Okay, I got it to work now. I reset the nVidia properties to default in the nVidia control panel. That helped but it was only after I turned off anti-aliasing inside of NWN: EE that it became playable. There is still a noticeable difference in the scrolling with the mouse-wheel, but otherwise perfectly playable.

I experienced a bad slowdown too, but then I updated my nVidia driver to the latest, and now it works great.

Have you updated lately?
