Enhanced Edition Aesthetics

I've noticed some debate regarding the looks of the recently released Aribeth model asset, and how it may show the visual direction Beamdog is taking wth the Enhanced Edition. While some seem to dislike it, I welcome any kind of upgrade to the game. Sure, it may not be in line with the original theming, but is still a big step from where NWN was left at. My question is for those who have been testing the Enhanced Edition. Is it, in fact, the way the game is looking like now? Thing is, I absolutely hate the cartoonish look of most modern games, by which I mean, in order to save on resources, or maybe give some kind of book-illustration look, developers replicate concept art as is. Characters look disproportionate, textures seem hand-painted, blurry and unrealistic, and everything has a cartoonish feel to it. Think what Blizzard did with Warcraft. However, I've been playing Divinity: Original Sin (Enhanced Edition) for the last couple of months, and despite having a very similar theme, I find it to be quite pallatable, and even discover myself wishing good old NWN looked at least that way after its very deserved refurbishing. Sure, it has the dreaded "plastic" look some gamers dislike (present in pretty much any modern game, like Inquisition, Wild Hunt or GTAV), but I still think it is a vast improvement over the classic game.

Was offline for a week due to moving. Didn't see anything about a vote for the forums. Thanks.
