EE tileset crash - Legacy of Ilmara - Barry the Hatchet

Following on from the issues with the Aztec, RL Gothic and UDP2 Modern Office interiors (now fixed) a community member asked me to help with the forest and forest/rural tilesets for Legacy of Ilmara. Barry the Hatchet's BTH Forest/Rural, from which I imagine the LoI set derives, is also affected.

The issue here is similar, but not quite the same. Problem is that 28 tile models contain binary scribble after the donemodel directive, i.e. when the model definition is complete. These tiles clean compile, load in 1.69 toolset, 1.69 game and EE toolset, but crash EE in-game on area load. I raised a ticket.

I've fixed the tiles in question, and will upload them here if I don't hear from the authors.

I've tried various channels to contact them, in vain so far, so if anyone is in touch with them, let me know.

To put this in perspective, we've found very few tileset bugs in EE to date, and we can fix them, no problem.

I haven't heard from the authors, so I've uploaded the fixed versions of the tilesets.

Legacy of Ilmara

BTH Forest/Rural

In case the bad tiles occur in other compilations, those pages also include a list of tiles corrected.

Proleric,

I'm using the posting here in my module: https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/hakpak/tileset/bth-forest?qt-t...

It turned out to be a different version from the tileset you updated. So my next step was to replace the model you reported as being bugged with the one in your hak. But that didn't fix it.

So then I walked through it with Sherincall over Discord and he highlighted problem models. The following is his list:

I then went through and manually removed the garbage at the end of the files and imported them into the hak. Still broken!

My next step was to run CleanModels 3. It errored out halfway through but it did output some corrected files.

So I took what it gave me and threw it into the hak and it loads now. But I don't feel super confident about it so I wanted to give you what I've got and see if you can review it for any other issues.

I ran your hak through my moneo script to confirm that all 734 tiles referenced in the .set file load in Extended Edition, so I'd say you've done enough.

I see that it's a different tileset from the one I was asked to fix before (Forest/Rural).

As a moderator here, I could post your fixed version alongside the original, as I did for Forest/Rural. Are you happy for me to do that?

Really glad it appears to be fixed now. I'm totally fine with you posting it - that was going to be my next request. Thanks!
