Apologies to NwN2 But... (Normal & Specular maps in EE)

Looking at the Roadmap Trello board I saw that the next patch is supposed to have something interesting for cc creators - normal map support and specular map support (the funny coloured extra texture images. Normal maps add lighting depth to flat surfaces. Specular maps add shininess. or so I've been told).

Now as NwN2 already supports normal maps, I predict somewhat of a stampede to download NwN2 textures come friday as headstart users try out this new feature.

So I say sorry to NwN2 guys for this...

For those interested there's a couple of ways you can start experimenting with this. There is the Gimp plug-in InsaneBump or if you prefer a standalone solution in the open source AwesomeBump. Both produce more than just Normal maps, so if BD decide to add even more texture mapping features you are already prepared.

Mmm... okay. Why would the NWN2 folks give a rip? Download to your heart's content. Anyway, the specular map is embedded in the normal map's alpha layer with NWN2. Or do you mean the tint map?
