D20 Modern facility, can't connect corridors to facility tiles

Hi!

Using D20 Modern haks (2.1) to build and I really like the modern facility, but is there any way to connect the corridors to the facility tiles?? Am I missing something or is the tileset just unfinished?

I'm in the process refurbishing the entire D20 Modern Exterior tiles. I may take a look into your issue for you. But specifically, if I may ask, where and what you're attempting to do? If you may post a screenshot I need to get a visual idea.

This is an interior designed by Tom Banjo and might need looking at ultimately but the corridors do connect to facility tiles. I've used them myself. Try placing a door first and if it doesn't work I'll check what I did.

After looking into it, there's no crosser tile for facility and corridor meet. Do as Vanya Mia said: use the "corridor doorway" first, then use the corridor.

Hi and thanks for your answers.

I tried with the doorway and that works...but only in rooms of 3 tiles or more and not in "corners" see photo. That severely limits the use of the tileset if you have to make rooms of minimum 2x3 tiles to be able to place a connection to a corridor. If anybody has the skill and time to make it possible to connect corridors ( and corridor doorway) to a "corner" tile , so that we can use 2x2 rooms, that would be really great!

Yeah, there's no crosser tile for neither sides nor corners. I can fulfill your request but I need either Vanya Mia's or Tom Banjo's permission.

That would be really great, VahnHaunt. See my other post for more details, or PM me if you need anything else?

I don't believe you need permission to make modifications such as this as long as you credit the original creator in any work as Tom Banjo's stuff is open use providing all such topics are open use. Plus it won't be the first project that's been worked on in this way. I will say that I tried to contact him myself and got no where fast but feel free to try again.

You definitely don't need permission from myself to make the modification, it's another something on the list to get around to and I'd be happy to cross it of, and yes - if you let me have the changed or additional files I'll put them into D20 Modern quite happily.

Be careful you don't get too sidetracked from your other work though Vahnhaunt! cool

Edit: I was going to say "Hold on, this is something I can do by editing the set file, as there are corner doorway models but only for transition into other sets of Facility floor. However I can now see that Corridor Doorway as it stands it's a completely different shape as it connects with the Facility edge tile than the Facility Doorway tile. So what I was proposing isn't going to work and the change is probably more than I can manage. If you can do it without having to do too much work then go ahead Vahnhaunt.

I always like to ask first before I proceed to do something. That's just me, of course. Don't fret, I won't get sidetracked. smiley

So, paphjort, I can add in those for you along side of my work. However it may be weeks before I'm finished with the modern exterior tiles. Or... I'll download the original facility hakpak, and then, add in those tiles as a supplement hakpak for your current project. I don't know it's imperative for your current project but I'd like hear from you. smiley

I'd like to add any improvements into the modern hak directly I admit but yes, I'd say making the changes and linking them to Tom Banjo's original work would be a good idea. Then people using it separately might know.
