Hey everyone!
One thing that always bothered me was the lack of a proper Faerûn skybox that follows the lore of Selûne and her tears of asteroids that follow her path.
So I made one.
This override is very loosely based on "Real Skies" of Servant1974 and thus work great in conjunction with them

The skies are in a very high definition of 16384x2048 and thus very large in file size. You can of course change the resolution if necessary.

Looks awesome. Finally a lore abiding skybox.
Looks nice. You do realise that the above skyboxes are for either high summer or midwinter, don't you? In spring one of the two nebula in Realmspace becomes visible and in autumn the other nebula is present. The two nebula are never visible at the same time. Over time which particular nebula is visible in spring changes. These two nebula are the Galleon nebula and the Colour Spray nebula.
Information obtained from SJR2 Realmspace. If you care to start a thread in the promo section of the forums I can give you a little bit more information if you want.

Sounds great!!
I think if the new renderer lets us dynamically alter and animate the skyboxes, I will work on a seaons pack + moon phases.
for now it is meant as a summer sky, both night and day.
What's the fps hit due to the high resolution?
The fps don't change.
What can change are the loading times due to bigger images.
However I have not experienced significant changes. If you want to opimize for very lowend hardware and mobile, you might however want to reduce the resolution to 1/2 or 1/4 but at the cost of its visual appearence.
An awesome and beautiful tileset. Downloaded it to try out at some point.
Edit: Oops, I meant skybox.
