I havent touched this entry in such a long time, but it seems it isnt compatible with every type of pc running windows 10 out there, like my own, so if this is the case for you too then grab this version:
https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/other/tool/mp3tobmu-035
Original Description
This is something that was lost to the commuity a long time ago, and now have the chance to get it again! :)
This is a simple mp3 to bmu, easy and perfect for converting files for nwn1 music files.
even though Audacity has the same capability this is basic, simple, and works. If you want more control options than stick with audacity. This more for anyone, like myself, who are unfamiliar with other programs.
Thats pretty much it, its here for anyone to use. so enjoy it!

How can audacity convert to BMU?
As I said over on the Beamdog boards -
TR
I have used this utility for years and am very, very happy with it. All of the .mp3 files I ripped from my personal collection of CDs converts perfectly. They retain their stereo and play just fine in EE, even with the latest patch (that broke music compatiblity).
ok it converts mp3s to a bmu file ,but being a noob... how the hell do it make it usualbe in my game like to the point where i can choose it as the area sound and stuff. its in my music file and even tried adding the mus_ to the begining of the bmu. does it need to be in a hak form or something? but still super easy to convert.
Music tracks need to be in ambientmusic.2da. For distribution to other players, the 2da and music files ought to be in a hak, because overrides from different builders end up conflicting with one another.
Seems like windows 10 systems can't run this anymore. If anyone can confirm it still works we can still leave this up, otherwise i may consider taking it down. I havent been able to get this to work for some time now and read of other way's to convert files = bmu by simply re writing the file? not sure but its just an idea.
Before taking it down, one question. Does 35 work on all versions of windows? If not and this version works for those versions then it should remain.
