Skin-Mesh Tutorial, and how to import 3D creature models in NWN

This tutorial will introduce you in how to import 3D models of creatures and characters in NWN using the "skin modifier" from 3D MAX. The tutorial assumes that the user have some basic knowledge about 3D max and their tools.

Well done, Shemsu-Heru! Great, that you took the time, cause writing up a tutorial takes some time, I'd say!

As it is written for MAX, I can say, that it does work pretty much the same for Gmax. I can't do a 100% comparison, but the "Skin Modifier"-options seem to have stayed the same. Maybe as an addition: I wrote a NWN2-tutorial on rigging in Gmax (some longer time ago...). The weighting part itself also applies to Gmax (page 7). And it does show, how to "paint weights" instead of using the envelopes:

And I rigged Gerald in Gmax and I hadn't any issues with the export. So keep on trying. ;-)

Thanks for your links.
I don't Know how much of the tutorial can be useful for GMAX because I don't use it. However a GMAX user told me to have problems exporting the skin-mesh.
