This brings back some really great memories and more hours of learning and study than most PHD's would cost you.
I actually made "Fern" and then asked Don Moar about expanding it, he said great and was surprised anyone wanted to do it. So I went on to make "Hyatt" a continuation of Fern and the new lands of Evereska!
If you want to learn how to really make a mod and get the feel for what game design and modding really take, I highly suggest this tutorial.
