These are SO unbelievabley bad.

The heads are abyssmal, the proportions don't match the originals and are completely misaligned. This is bad ... extremly bad. Unbelievable. Gosh I expected bullshit from beamdog but this is beyond abyssmal.

One example of MANY:

Its a beta put out to the community for testing; thus, its going to have issues but they're not as bad as you make them out to be.

It's not bad. It has issues, specially when interacting with custom content. The issues can be worked. The thing is that as it is not core content, but an optional download, a content creator can't plan ahead to work around the issues. Having said that, the textures and model as a stand alone download are great.

Faith in humanity has been restored thanks to your comment, Leaf. Good thing that it is the first. Man, you're a legend.

Yeap.. I have just uninstalled it. I like some things, but it would force a full revision of avery custom armor in lots of mods.

That's great! I had no idea you guys were working on this.  I'm sure there's still work to be done on this, but I'm really pleased with what you put out so far.  It's going to take a lot of testing on my side to determine what works and what doesn't, but that's the cost of doing business.  And, sigh, probably time to upgrade the computer again.

Some things are a bit lumpy but there are some very good parts. Maybe I will separate the parts I like and mix it with my cylinders.

They don't look as bad as Leaf says, it has its issues but I guess we are looking at a WIP because it's missing shadows and a lot of other stuff the original has. They aren't compiled either so the game hiccups when loading a new N/PC. If you guys don't want issues with your mods make a hak of it though by the size i'd say it needs 2 haks.

Keep the good work!

This is an incredible achievement by BD. The amount of work that has gone into it is staggering. Can't wait to see it as fixes are implemented over the coming months. It already provides a huge upgrade and those of us who run PWs can start work now to integrate it with our custom content.

Thank you Beamdog for keeping this awesome game not only alive & kicking, but expanding, 19 years after it was released. We are blessed to have such a dedicated team of folks who still have the time, energy, and it seems still some significant resources, to dedicate to making NWN ever more awesome.

This game keeps surprising me, and receiving new content after so many years, and free of charge, that we can add to our PW if we wish, is amazing. Thanks!

And thanks to all the people in the Vault that shares his work.

Well met.

I concur with the positive comments here. These are simply an amazing work in progress, and a huge, huge amount of work by the crew at Beamdog.

Pearls to the crew.

Phyte: My heart has been locked for longer than I can remember.
Sharwyn: Done, and done.

I wanted to keep it, think it is an ok upgrade, but it messed up NPC armors in a few of the mods I play, so decided to uninstall...hopefully they get it sorted, if not, I will still enjoy the game just fine without it.  Would love to have it work properly, but I dont think its there yet.

I think it is amazing, yea its a sytle choice, but for me it keeps to the original intent of the art style.
On our Persistant world there are minor issues, but looking at these makes me want to revisit and rework all of our added content!

So much work to do... menus, custom content, areas!

Very happy with these, and I am sure they will get better as the mod community starts tinkering with them!

While certainly not perfect, it's good start for sure and a much needed improvement. There are some bugs that need to be addressed though.

It also makes it painfully obvious how outdated many of the tilesets and creature models look...

Still waiting for the option to be able to CONTROL party members, like in NWN2, IWD and BG.

so some mention has been made that the HD pack can be hard on older machines.  Is there any consensus on just how much desktop processing power is enough?  I'd think a GTX 770 should be plenty but maybe it isn't?

I play on a i5+16gb+512SSD+1650gtx laptop with WIN10 and in the Chapter 1(the Peninsula District) with Neverwinter Nights Revamped NWNR installed it laggs very hard. Smaller areas with creeps which don't use it are fine, though.

well now that is a scary notion.  There's not much in the Pennisula to justify any lag at all.  All my stuff is GTX 770 and 780 type cards so I guess don't have enough juice.  One of my desktops might manage it but we're LAN players and I can't afford to upgrade all 6 rigs.

I always feel like laptops struggle to beat desktops in performance but that shouldn't really be the case.  Specs are specs and I may have trouble because of larger monitors, too.

I'd very much like feedback on other's experiences with this new pack
