As suggested by community. Modules made by different authors categorized as such that they can be (role)played in sequence. Mileage may vary ;-)

Note: Some modules are better than others (I don't endorse any of them) but they got my ranger (Arargorn) from level 1 to 15 at the end of Sands of time. Also, I may not have played them in the best possible order.
Also, would you play Boromir, you would have to add "Lord of the Rings: Sons of the Steward v1.06 FINAL" by Archaic early on. The same author made "Lord of the Rings: The Dunedain v1.5" for Gandalf.
Some of the early module on the list are using CEP so I had some sword or shield looking like a bag and had to swap them.

Strictly PnP conversions with Old D&D Flavor. These mods all work well in Multiplayer and mods 3-7 require CEP. Strong Hack & Slash slant to this series.

- Some Options for Darkness over Daggerford
These were taken as random options to play before and after the “almost a Premium Module” – Darkeness over Daggerford.
Darkness over Daggerford was included in this list as a Community Module as opposed to an Official Campaign as it was released for free on the vault.
Lariam has 2 threads dealing with leveling up suggestions and post DoD suggestions.
- The Pig Farmer – Level 1-7 – Adventures in Luskan
- Darkeness over Daggerford 8-13ish
- NWS Black Dragons 13-14
- NWS Cradle of Cold. 14 +
Set in the Western Heartlands or the setting is non-specific enough to fit in reasonably well. It might require a couple of leaps of faith, since in Wendel's Woes and DOD it's assumed that you'd gone adventuring with certain NPCs. I played as a Rogue/Bard, but I'd recommend a Bard/Ranger character to get the most out Mountain of Mirrors and Elena's Tale - both use social skills and tracking quite a bit. Elena's Tale seems to be a great choice to play before DoD, since it's set very close to Daggerford. Also, I finished this one at Level 7 so you could use the extra level to fill in gaps in the characters background.
1) Into The Toadshade (1-4)
2) Wendel's Woes (4-5)
3) Mountain of Mirrors (5-6)
4) Elena's Tale: Roses for Rosa (6-7)
5) Darkness Over Daggerford (8-13)
Quote:
Not true. The MiddleEarth series of modules (by Trev) contains three chapters and there are 7 modules in it available (out of 8 total - because the first one named 'Tharbad' was probably deleted by Trev himself since it didn't withstand comparison to the others - perhaps was too flawed / too simple; hmmm... in fact I'm not sure if it ever was uploaded - but there is small reference to it in 'readme' file attached to 'Fog on the Barrowdowns').
These eight modules were less or more firmly connected with each other and so:
1st chapter in the series consists of: Tharbad (N/A) and Fog on the Barrowdowns (the latter might be played without playing Tharbad)
2nd chapter:
An Unexpected Visitor
Mines of Moria
3rd and last chapter has four parts in it:
Staff of Law
Witch King of Angmar
The Shadow Returns - Part 1 - The Paths of the Dead (and this title is quite confusing, no doubts)
Sands of Time (in 'readme' file, attached to this module, is written: Staff of Law, Witch King of Angmar and Paths of the Dead build this story up, and should be considered prequels to Sands of time).
Another thing:
This trylogy (awarded the 'Hall of Fame' badge on the old NWVault) is finished. I'm quite sure of that. Six-Realms 3, Return to Whittershins is the final part of it. A sequel was planned (working title: Six-Realms 4, Luck of the Frontier) and never released but that's another story...
Previous two chapters of the trylogy and short prequel are available for DL:
Six-Realms 0, The Road to Whittershins
Six-Realms 1, Whittershins
Six-Realms 2, South Therford
And yet another thing: Eye of the Beholder (1 & 2) by Rick Francis a.k.a. Darks (the most up-to-date versions). The proper links are:
Eye of the Beholder (instead of that outdated Eye of the Beholder I Mk2 version - which was uploaded with haks from another one, to make things funnier, LOL),
Eye of the Beholder II (Note: this is moddb link to the most recent version: 1.2, because version that we have on the Vault: 1.0 - is outdated and buggy; darks hasn't answered my call yet - I asked him to upload the latest version here, as well as offered my assistance with this, if needed).
And last but not least, certainly: cool idea and cool list, Werelynx. :)
I will add those suggestions.
The list is still obviously not complete and things like EoB1 were not uploaded then.
With the part 1 I looked for part 2 and couldn't find it so I put it there.
Thanky you for feedback ;)
oops
Moved wink and kiss, added twist of fate.
is this list the most updated so far as of July 2015 ??
From the bottom of the list, i skipped everything including the Unfinished One Chapter series:
I started @ the bottom of the alphetical list & am finishing up the ones under the letter ''t"
I have to add couple more, I will try to update today.
Added some, but not all definitely.
You da man, Werelynx. This will be my goto place for the many adventures ahead.
If you send me your Paypal info, I will literally send you 15 dollars. It's not much, but it's what I got and if everyone who could be honest about how awesome this compiled list is, and how useful it is to them did the same, then it wouldn't be that bad at all.
Thanks, that's a really nice gesture :D
I would be happy if you donated the site instead ;)
I will get you site's paypal (once I get information back from Rolo about it :p ).
*cough* the Donate button on the "About/who" page? ;-)
http://neverwintervault.org/about/who
It ain't on the theme I use (NWN7), but it surely is on the castle vault theme ;-/
I'm really sorry, Rolo, until you pointed it I was blind :o.
Our oversite, I hadn't noticed all the new themes :-) Added it in, so I hope it shows.
I second that(though I've nothing to donate at the moment)... The first time I played NWN was was around 2004 with just the OC and the expansions as I did not have access to any other modules due to the scarcity of the Internet where I come from. I didn't feel like playing it again until I discovered THE Vault around 2014 and now there's not a day I don't fire up my special gaming rig (with just NWN installed) and adventure away. Thank you Werelynx 'coz now I can download all the modules that I want.
Fleetordatvar
As the list is not updated from A to Z nor the other way, but rather it grows in all places, some sections are moved (when I learn something new) you might want to
A) bookmark what you have played and compare it with the list
B) keep "done" modules on HDD and compare with the list
Just a suggestion, if you want to lay all available campaigns. Also remember some modules have 60+ hours alone(and those are not listed her, for obvious reasons), and some campaigns are few hours only ;)
I have reorganized the list with Expandable/Collapsible sections. Don't be afraid to click them :) Tell how do you like that view? Is it more manageable?
Biggest recent additions are HMC, Fern, Giants (G1-G3) and Hermit's Chalice. Some not working links have been migrated and Turkeys is working on migrating the red ones, so hopefully they will fall and disappear one by one as the redshirts are supposed to.
Plenty more to add.
I don't if I should even mention it, but: There is also series called "sodomy jack", but it is really, really bad. Not worth migrating :/ but in case you like such awful module look in rolovault under IDs: 3854, 3970, 4010, 4030, 4052, 4240, 4612, 4625 and 4626 (Torque Armada's Transcendence). You have been warned.
I'm also NOT going to include that blasphemy in class-specific list (pregen char).
Hi, Wx. Just yesterday I discovered the Rolling Thunder Campaign (hadn't known it before).
RT0 - Crossroads
RT1 - The Gravedigger
RT2 - The Rift
RT3 - The Coming Storm
RT4 - Wake of the Flood (not released, only a placeholder can be found - in the RT3 archive; I've emailed the author about it - no answer yet)
I don't see this campaign on the list. Perhaps should be included.
Thanks, added.
Phil Trevorrow = Trev. :) The series was updated and finished under the latter name. The two modules listed above are the previous versions only, not a different modules.
I think you are right and even if not, not much would be lost. Will make changes in the evening.
Hm. Upon a closer inspection I must admit that I probably was wrong about that. No need to make the changes. Sorry for the confusion.
There may be an update needed for the 'A Hunt Throught the Dark' and 'Infernal Crown' series. The previous module pages for AHTD have been removed in favor of the updated all-in-one XP Edition found here.
Infernal Crown has had its pages split up so that the descriptions aren't messy:
Infernal Crown I
Infernal Crown II
Infernal Crown III
Infernal Crown IV
It appears that Mordenkainen's First Trial is listed twice in the General Campaign/Series list. I think the third one was meant to be Mordenkainen's Last Trial which can be found here.
Thanks, all fixed now. Don't know why your comment slipped my attention thus far.
On the old vault I can recall there was a list of NWN1 modulas that had a romance theme and it was suprising how many there actually were. It would be nice to see that back again.
We have them here already:
http://neverwintervault.org/article/reference/romance-modules-list-rough...
http://neverwintervault.org/article/reference/teen-romance-list-nwn1-rou...
http://neverwintervault.org/article/reference/romance-modules-list-nwn2
http://neverwintervault.org/article/reference/adult-content-modules-nwn1...
Ah, thanks. Good to know they're still around.
I would like to add my mod The Shadow Relic to this section:
Of course, this was major overlook of mine :p
Though it didn't make it inot old vault contest page if I recall correctly.
Filled more themed campaigns, in future updates - links, bridge modules maybe more
Wow! Thanks for this Werelynx! You did a great work. This basically orders a significant portion of the vault and allows one for spending many hours in NWN world. I wonder why I stumble upon this topic after being a user of the Vault for so long? Why there is no permalink to this topic on the main website of the Vault? Really, it should be. There really should be some places on the vault that would allow to navigate around the content and your topic really helps in this respect. So far I believe A Dance with Rogues, Aielund Saga, Swordflight, Udasu's modules etc. are among best modules out there, I played them. But as to other stuff... I presume there is no way to somehow add your "star" ranking to these modules so I could know which are worthwile?
Btw. you could add links to English translations of Bastard of Kosigan (all modules now have English translation).
There is also a nice Orc series you do not mention.
Thanks for your work!
Done :)
Star rankings.. I have not played all of them and they would be biased.
I want the list to be informational. You can always check individual pages for votes/comments.
On the old boards, there were a few more community suggestions which could be added again:
